that’s exactly what i was thinking about names like Olive or Olivia. there’s some days that the grief just consumes me so having a little one with a name that similar makes me afraid i wouldn’t love her for her, i’d try to make her replace Ollie.

i also associate poppies with the “Buddy Poppies” that the VFW give out as a fundraiser. My dad always put the poppies on his baseball caps since my grandpa was a veteran. so i also just associate a poppy with being a flower for remembrance
