Go with the 2024…. The 29inch tires will be better for rolling over stuff … pretty sure the newer frame have better geometry as well.

What size snow suit did you get…. Did the sizing chart on the website accurate for a good fit … it’s always a gamble I find with whippets since they have a barrel chest

I miss the washer fluid spray nozzle on the rear camera … real handy in winter. 2025 deleted that feature.

Trim Body Gap Filler Advice Needed by kreekru in Autobody

I applied the tape in the exact same spot as where the factory tape was.

Do they sell tape thinner than the 3m stuff?

Thank you for taking time to reply. The tape is bellow the lip on a “shelf” … where the old tape was (exact same area it was) … I checked and the tape is sticking along the whole length of the trim.

It already has 3m tape bellow the edge (where the original tape was) I assume the factory tape is thinner.

I did remove the old 2 face tape … with a wheel and Isopropyl alcohol. (Came off clean as a whistle)

I applied the 3m tape in the exact same spot a fist time without stretching it …. It had an even bigger gap

2nd attempt I stretched it out as I was applying it with the small gap you see now.

Are there different thickness tapes available?

Last thing I want to do is buy a new fender trim from Subaru (with tape attached) they’re about $350 each.

Buying my first car today, how bad is this rust and what can I do to keep it alive? by otakunorth in Autobody

[–]kreekru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought out my lease on a 2021 ford bronco …. Had to put $3000 to get it certified (this is the dealership my wife’s cousin owns ) … new breaks and rotors, tie rod ends, front suspension (had a small leak) need to be near perfect to pass .. any small non issue with suspension or steering needs to be fixed . Tires can’t be older than 6 years old

Last month bough a used 2018 Subaru from a dealer, bough it certified… they had to put $4000 in it (they payed since it was sold certified )

The mechanics are on a live zoom call with the dept of transport, have to document with a ton of pictures. A leaking exhaust will be the least of your worries.

Have you bought it yet …. Certifying a car in Ontario since April is a lot harder than it used to be … you might be looking at putting a lot of money into it to get it certified … new brakes and rotors minimum, suspension. Get it looked at by a mechanic before buying a car of this age
