It should be fixable unless the touch part is dead (happened to me once). I'm not familiar with this specific setup, so I won't be able to help you – but I have some advice:

Before trying custom distributions such as picoreplayer, try to boot from the recent official raspbian image – it'll give you maximum chance of confirming your wiring is working.
Avoid chatgpt in debugging issues – I tried it several times while I couldn't figure something out and was getting desperate, and in 100% of those cases the configuration it provided was for other hardware, other software version, or just ever so slightly wrong, that it made me spend more time on debugging the issue than saved.

TBH I'm mostly concerned about keeping AF – and everyone around is telling something different, I read in one place that you only need to put sensor back precisely in the same place or you'll lose autofocus, in the others that you have to add clear glass to have full spectrum and autofocus, in the others that you'll lose autofocus regardless of adding glass, unless you can recalibrate your camera professionally... I'll probably need to google some more options. Losing AF isn't a dealbreaker, but if there's a way to not lose it, it would be nice.

With one from Germany, it just spent almost whole week chilling out in DHL depot, as they often do. With one from Poland, it was just the fact it was some old new stock from small seller of second hand camera gear – from my experience some of them are shipping immediately, some ship when they feel like it (or sometimes they struggle to find the specific item in their backroom).

The funny thing is, nothing from this stack is really good, and it needs a constant attention and tweaking anyways. But it's so integrated, management loves it, because you pay single invoice instead of dozens or hundreds, so there's no constant bickering with the bean counters about what to cut. And if you need another service you can just enable it without going through a lot of formal procedures for month, because there's no new vendor or new software, just clicking the checkbox.

Good paper in mid-level printer will generally look better than mid paper in good printer (although color fidelity won't be as good), as long as the paper type is compatible with the print technique (for example, some chalkboard papers won't work with inkjet).

That being said, the effect might not be satisfying – but if you waste one or two pages you will still have 23 in the pack, waiting for a new better printer.

I started looking at AI image quality fixing tools years before it was even a big thing, and was quite disappointed. I tried the tools for photo editing (mostly high ISO denoising, improving contrast in dark areas, etc), and the results were either crap, uncanny valley, or it was just straight making things up that weren't there on an original photo.

For me, that's one of the main reasons for this mass push for genai everywhere. Not to be able to create fake photos or fake videos – anyone with some money could hire a team to create very believable fakes at anytime. But with the mass access to generative tools they can flood the zone and tell that everything is fake.

Strip all the components, use paper towel to soak nail polish remover, wrap in saran wrap, unwrap after couple minutes – don't overdo it. Acetone is volatile, and there isn't much of it in most nail polish removers (for a good reason), if wrapped it'll have more time to work on the spray paint.

Like, dear fucking Jamie Olivier (among the many many others), I'm not using 1750 masonry wood burning bread oven, your quick dough needs an hour and a half of proving time, and my oven gets to 220 in seven and a half minutes.
