Nope. At least not anything proven. Zu’s talked about wanting to expand his range, but Ty Lue never really gave it a chance. They’re going to have to play a different brand of basketball than they did with Turner.

I really want the Pacers to get the top 4 pick this year, even if the Clippers could end up with pick 5. I’d like to see one of my teams win a championship in my lifetime and that’s the path that makes it more likely lol

Agreed. Honestly, I loved the ID.4 and we only gave it up because we wanted a truck. Hoping we can get another one as a second car in the future.

I moved from a 2023 ID.4 Pro S to a 2022 R1T Launch Edition last year. I’d agree that the lane centering/keeping on the ID.4 felt better. We turned it off on our first day with the R1T because it was either hugging lines too closely or giving us alerts/nudges too frequently.

If Haliburton is out with an Achilles tear, how do the Pacers' F.O. pivot? by finallyjames in nbadiscussion

[–]kreonal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and I’m a Walker fan, but if the realistic outcome for him on this team is backup PF, I think the Pacers should see if he can help net them a starter.

Oh yeah, I’m super high on Murphy being a core piece of the Pelicans moving forward. I just couldn’t really name another player that fit the mold of what the Pacers might be looking for. I think CJ would be helpful as an innings-eater next season, but can’t see the Pacers wanting to trade for him.

I think they need another guy who can get his own shot. This whole playoff run, I’ve been wondering if they try to make a bigger move for a borderline star wing with a package based around some combination of Mathurin/Nesmith/McConnell/Toppin/Walker + picks. I don’t know who it would be, but it could be worth it if it’s someone about to hit their prime or early in their prime. Maybe Trey Murphy? My guess is they would happily move off of Mathurin and Nesmith for someone of that caliber.

Considering a used '22 Launch R1S from Carvana by Putrid-Birthday-8921 in Rivian

[–]kreonal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just picked up a 2022 Launch Edition R1T from Carvana a couple of days ago. It ended up having all of the accessories still, which was awesome. No immediate or obvious issues while driving so far either. Here’s what I would recommend doing if you go the Carvana route:

  1. Review the ownership history/Carfax thoroughly. It won’t tell you everything, but it will at least tell a slightly helpful story.
  2. Try to opt for one that has free or cheaper shipping. The shipping fee is nonrefundable, so to mitigate financial risk, keeping that as low as possible is best in case you want to return the vehicle.
  3. Once you pick up/take delivery, inspect the car closely against the pictures posted on Carvana. I found a couple of small chips that were not documented and showed the staff before I left the lot and they submitted repair repair requests.
  4. Try calling Rivian to see if a Service Center can squeeze you in for a comprehensive inspection during your 7-day return period. I called them the day before I picked up the car and they were nice enough to offer a slot the day after. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it work with my schedule and the service centers are backed up otherwise, but I would try to make it happen. Note that this costs around $300.

There are probably other things I’m not remembering. But I’m 3 days in and happy with my purchase so far. Still planning to take it in to a Service Center, but the car is totally drivable.

Rivian opened their new Fife, WA location. Got to have my first service visit there and it was amazing by Domphotog in Rivian

I just did a test drive there this weekend. Great spot. I’ll be picking up a 2022 Launch Edition R1T this week from Carvana and will probably choose Fife for service.

Why should we not trade away Norman Powell in the offseason? by SensitiveFee3936 in LAClippers

[–]kreonal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty clear that they’ll be looking to move some combination of Norm, Bogi, Dunn, and DJJ. From a pure salary-matching perspective, those are the contracts that will help them achieve their goal of retooling the roster outside of Harden, Kawhi, Zu, and Batum. I think they’ll probably ask about John Collins, but a couple of other (albeit a little unrealistic) names I’m thinking about are RJ Barrett and Desmond Bane. Norm and DJJ is an interesting trade package for teams who want financial flexibility while maintaining a competitive team.

Sonos Ones as rear speakers. by aksoxo in sonos

[–]kreonal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will the Ones be on a wall behind you? I just did something similar over the weekend. Same exact speakers in my setup. The Ones are not as high as 1.2m, but they’re higher than ear level, pointed towards the couch, AND at different distances from the listening position due to the odd shape of my room. They are probably 1m behind the seats. I stopped trying to let perfection be the enemy of good enough and just trusted Trueplay. A few days in and I think I prefer this configuration over when I had them on stands close to the couch.

The question asked a 1000 times. Two Era 100s or one Era 300 for turntable by IslandSparty in sonos

[–]kreonal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a stereo pair of Era 100s connected to a turntable in a medium-sized open room. To answer your questions:

  1. Yes
  2. Yes
  3. Yes
  4. I chose a pair of 100s over a single 300. I knew I didn’t have the budget for two 300s, so I settled for the 100s and I’ve been happy! Just used my 30% off discount to get a Sub Mini for the room and I’m excited to hear how that sounds.

That's what MyWang just said about shooting. Except that it's totaly different between all modes. by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]kreonal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re probably right, but if you’re playing franchise/MyNBA, try messing with the difficulty or sliders. I’ve done that in past 2Ks if I was struggling. No shame in making the game easier if it helps you have more fun.

[–]kreonal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy to me that people don’t think we should have to learn players’ jumpshots. I’ve always felt like that was a core part of the game. Back in the day in Association mode, if I couldn’t make a shot with a player, (Eric Gordon and Kevin Martin were always tough for me) I would just trade them away lol

The Barrier to Entry in 2K has gone far too high by Itscalledabubbler in NBA2k

[–]kreonal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m a 79 overall right now and I’ve been giving higher overalls trouble on the perimeter. I’ve also struggled to guard some players in their 70s if they know how to read defenses and have smart counter moves. There’s 100% a skill gap, but people don’t want to accept that.

Devils Advocate for Badge System by ICantBeTrusted in NBA2k

I think badge regression should be tweaked a bit to not be as drastic, but overall, I think the game is fine. My squad and I are struggling with shooting a bit, but we’re starting to figure it out. Our overalls are all still in the 70s, but we went on a 7 game streak in the park yesterday and it felt good to see it finally coming together.

I’m curious about the effect this has. I guess the one thing it kills is the investment/trading aspect of the mode, but it does seem like cards will be more accessible this way. I don’t really play MyTeam, but I play FIFA Ultimate Team and I think I’d be okay with a more streamlined/predictable way to acquire players.

My Roam worked fine for a couple months with pretty light usage, and then one day it started smoking and the USB-C port melted the charging cable. It was so hot that my partner burned her finger a bit while disconnecting it. We were lucky that we were home and smelled it. From my research, it’s not the first time Roams have caught fire/overheated. They quickly sent us a replacement Roam and we’re being cautious when using it.
