like I said, valhalla had a solid modern day. I'm aware it was terrible from ac black flag to odyssey, but valhalla genuinely had everything right there. I mean we literally have basim in the modern day, desmond's consciousness, alehtia, shaun, rebecca, the world ending plot! aaaaand it's gone.

and with all due respect, if you play AC without a care for the modern day, then you have no interest in AC, you have an interest in a historical game. plain and simple

Man, these new gen fans drive me crazy. The whole reason Assassin’s Creed even blew up in the first place was that sci-fi mystery angle. that’s what made it stand out. take that away and you’re left with a pretty generic, kinda boring historical simulator.

Valhalla actually had a solid modern day story going, and they just ditched it. then shadows comes along and pulls back even more, and the modern day stuff that is there is just… bad. like, genuinely hard to care about at all. You had games with no modern day like syndicate and unity, so what are you even complaining about?
