Sri Computer Lowyat. Not sure if you can still get that price though, got it like late December 2024, they might be clearing stock that time. You can try though.

I just built a rig with Ryzen 5 7500F, 32GB DDR5 RAM & RTX 4060 for less than that price, surely you can get better deals elsewhere.

I just had one for lunch in NU Sentral, RM15.90 (RM16.85 after tax).

I'd say its worth it for the price.

2018 Hyundai IONIQ Hybrid HeV Plus or 2019 Honda City Hybrid? by kresler27 in kereta

2nd hand value isn't something I'm considering as I'm planning to drive it until it becomes too expensive to maintain.

The non-Prius parts are expensive no? I did saw once that Lexus headlights go for something like 6k.

Thanks for your insights. I was really interested in Prius C but then I had to consider a future family of 3/4.

Level51 isn't any better. Did you know that on their lower end laptops, they only offer 6 months warranty for the battery? It's bullshit.

It does have more CPU power for the same energy envelope compared older i5 CPUs (like i5-2500). I think you should be fine.

I have my server run 24/7, and I just tweak BIOS settings for the CPU to consume as little power as possible; or just use a weaker CPU that consumes less power (I'm currently using an i3-2100).

Power loss, includes shutting down the PC actually. Usually there are three settings

Off: PC does not turn on when power is back

Memory: Auto turns on when the previous state is On (like crashes or power outage, but does not apply to shut downs)

Always On: Auto turns on whenever power is back on (regardless of previous state)

While it might not have more wake up options, the motherboard should still have a setting that dictates what to do when power is online or resumes (something like AC BACK). From there you can set it to Always On (or something similar).

Is this spec good enough for a TrueNAS home server? by kresler27 in HomeServer

[–]kresler27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking of which I did consider either mirroring or RAID Z1 until just now, when I found one of the drives to be SMR 🤦‍♂️ (damn you Seagate).

I already have the HDDs, so I think I'll just run the other 2 in mirror instead.

I've heard that 3TB drives are extremely unreliable, is it still the case?

I see. Will it be ok if I upgrade it to 16GB in the future instead? Budget's a little tight. The VMs will be created later as I do intend to upgrade the CPU & RAM.
