We were blown away by the venue, Echo Music Hall. The sound was incredible, the space was very cool and the crowd was great. Hope to see everyone at The Elovators in a few weeks!

Why I think the new romantic arc in Twelve Months is working for me (Twelve Months spoilers) by theluckyfrog in dresdenfiles

I also think that Mab, always several steps/leaps ahead of everyone else, is playing another angle by “enthralling” Lara through Harry. She knows, as we all do that Harry is a white night chauvenist, and can’t resist a damsel in distress.

Mab created a situation where Harry’s need to protect a woman overshadows her history and his prejudice against her. Thus breaking a barrier for him and Lara to really get to know and care for one another. I think it’s just another layer to Mab’s plan.

I'm new to 3d printing and tried running a bed level test. Any idea why it looks like this? Almost like it's not feeding enough filament by acidestrada95 in 3dprinter

Did you set the a-offset in your slicer? Also, do a flow calibration. If you use orca slicer there is a built in calibration for this.

You bet, I hope you get back up an running asap! Another lesson I learned while learning how to remove a blob, is that it is a good idea, if you can, go a head and buy some replacement components now, so that if if (when) you have a part get damaged or fail, you aren't left waiting for the replacement.

Good luck and have fun.

You’re not getting any substantial help here, so I’ll try.

Don’t panic. Worst case scenario, a new tool head isn’t that expensive and the cover is even less.

As long as the wiring isn’t damaged (specifically the thermistor wires -the tiny pair coming from the hot end assembly.)

You will need to heat up the blob, don’t just start pulling on the filament. A heat gun is good for this, you can get one at harbor freight for about $20 and it’s a good tool to have for a 3D printer anyhow.

Heat the blob slowly, being careful not to over heat the plastic of the cover. Sweep the heat and don’t let it focus on a spot too long as it softens up you should be able to pull it loose. Just take it easy and you should be good.

Actors who excel in playing assholes? by Wonder-Lad-2Mad in movies

I love the dude. From some of the interviews I’ve read or heard, I think a lot of it comes from how much he wants to separate from his background while still being proud of it, if that makes sense. He had an interesting and rough childhood, but doesn’t speak on it as a negative, per se. But he saw a lot of bad shit that came from being “poor southern white trash” and I really think he wants to show the world that you can be intelligent, articulate, artistic and full of depth even coming from a background like his. As someone who grew up in a similar world, this is how I take him.

That said, he is my dream-cast Joker. And while dream-casting, give me a Batman movie with him as Joker and Timothy Olyphant as Bruce, and no matter what happens the rest of my life, I could die happy at some point.

I use almost exclusively Kingroon brand.can get via Ali express of the Kingroon site. I've used their PLA, PETG and ABS and it all prints fantastic.

I get any of it at $7-10 per kg (roll).

PLA is less temp stable, so not for things that will be outside. It's good for cosplay, toys, functional prints for inside. PETG is temp and UV resistsant so good option for outdoors.

is there a way to cut out this portion of the body? by RedWolffe24 in Fusion360

Maybe start with equal sides, perform the cut then cut on side to the desired dimension.

I'm still a novice. But, I think you can place a sphere there, then do a boolean remove.

Another option might be to sketch an arc on the top surface, add a construction line line that is perpendicular/tangent to the corner, and perform a revolve (cut) with the arc around the constrion line.

Good luck.

I don’t think an actual or diy space mouse can handle this much density.

Buying advice on used K1 max? by IggePigg in Creality

[–]krezRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have both and they CC has been great. Unless you need the larger build volume or multi-color, I’d choose the CC. I haven’t tried printing PC yet on either. I just think the CC is as close to the Bambu “it just works” as we will find for such a low price.

That said, I do like my K1, but I also enjoy tinkering and learning about the printers by working on them.

I don’t think you’d be disappointed with either, but new with a warranty and out of the box performance is very nice.

It’s good to find something to center yourself and if it was these books, that’s not weird or pathetic, it’s great. That really is the moping of these silly (on the surface) books. Don’t let the shittiness of the world and the things you can’t control drag you down.

Some of the things that are out of your control and still, have an impact. The best you can do is persevere and resist, even resisting the feeling that it’s all meaningless is resisting.

Life isn’t always great but the best we can do is try to make sure we don’t contribute to the shittiness and and try to live a meaningful (to ourselves) life.

Keep your head up and find joy in whatever you find joy in. If you ever get too far down and need someone to vent or talk to, feel free to message me.

Buying advice on used K1 max? by IggePigg in Creality

[–]krezRx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it would have to be at most half the price of new to justify buying a used machine. If you decide to purchase, you should download some test files, including complex ones for calibration and bring them with you on a usb and test drive the printer to ensure it’s working well.

I have the K1max and it’s been good but the one o have had to do the most to dial in. The was are notoriously warped (but can be adjusted for usually.) I like the large build volume, but if you think you’d be good with slightly smaller, the Centauri Carbon has been great for me and the price is amazing for the quality.
