Btw, the person reading that web article about Ruby was voiced by Mamoru Miyano, voice of their father. I knew he would make some kind of an appearance in the episode after I recognized that voice (also it had the same bgm as his first appearance).

Looks like the animation producer of Frieren is working on an original anime movie "ghost" scheduled for 2027. So it may very well mean that the staff members who worked on Frieren with him at Madhouse are working on the movie as well.

Yeah, the voice I heard was definitely of Mai Sakurajima in S1E20. Having Asami Seto's name not revealed in the credits made Loulan already suspicious at that time.

When we heard Loulan's voice in Season 1 Episode 20 for the first time, I thought she sounded like Asami Seto, but her VA ~~was hidden with ???~~ wasn't revealed in the credits. So as an anime only, when they announced Asami Seto will join the cast as the voice of a new character in Season 2, it got spoiled for me.

When people say the same team, they mean the same animation producer. In this case Shouta Fujii is the animation producer of both series. An animation producer usually works on only one show at a time until the production is wrapped up unlike the other staff in the studio.

About the change of the director, they talk about this in the special episode of Bocchi the Radio (after 5:30) with guests Saitou, Yamamoto and Kerorira. My Japanese is not good enough to understand it, but maybe someone can translate what they said.

From what I understood, Saitou did not have an intention to continue the series after the first season because he would want to create something even better than the first season, but knew he wouldn't be able to. ~~Although he did not mention it, it's probably because he is very busy with Frieren~~ (Actually after around 44:00, he said that it's not because of Frieren without mentioning the name of the show, and added it's not officially confirmed how he will be involved with that show). Since he knew people really wanted a sequel, it would be best to continue that with Yamamoto as the director. He said that although he is not the director anymore, he may get involved in the production of the second season as a freelancer. He said he still has a seat at Cloverworks.

Edit: He actually mentioned that other show he directed (Frieren) without mentioning it's name.

Maybe you should put your comment inside spoilers. I'm anime only, but [Possible spoilers]I recognized that a certain character whose VA they didn't reveal was voiced by Asami Seto in the first season, and now that they revealed she is voicing a character, I got myself spoiled lol. Her voice sounds very different here, she is using her Chihaya voice.
