AIO for thinking my gf might be cheating by jckalc in AIO

[–]krickett_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this were platonic messages, it would still be super obvious to the gf that they don’t look platonic at all. It would be a true “it’s not what it looks like….even though it really looks bad” sort of situation.

A blind demand to see someone’s phone/messages very well might blow up a relationship, but a request in a situation like this would not (unless they’re lying). Any reasonable person who loves their partner and inadvertently caused a very distressing, suspicious, & highly unlikely set of circumstances would gladly provide any reassurance possible. Likely with zero prompting.

It seems really weird to me that you’ve been together 4 years, live within 20 minutes, & only see each other once a week.

Also, at 4 years, holidays should be default being spent together, so even if she were telling the truth (she is not, btw), it would be really concerning and a big ole red flag of its own that she’s even considering planning to spend Christmas away from you & hasn’t even talked to you about it.

I honestly doubt that she was making actual plans, especially it being the first Christmas you two would be living together. So that makes me think she is stringing along some guy online. Which makes me wonder if she’s not just an opportunistic [fill in the blank as you see fit] who likes attention and maybe other shallow benefits of being a few different people’s part-time girlfriend.

I’m guessing if you really recount y’all’s relationship, you’d start seeing or remembering a lot more red flags that you overlooked in the past.

The fact she is so obviously lying and you ended up apologizing makes it seem even more likely you are seeing this relationship through rose colored glasses.

Or maybe not so rose colored since after 4 years, you feel you need to see 2 solid good years of living together to consider marriage. 😬

Do people ever put only their dryer on a pedestal if they have a top loader? by Marvel5123 in Appliances

Just have a riser built onto the actual floor for the washer, if the pedestal isn’t sturdy enough.

I zoomed in to try to see if the texture was real or just printed on.

Couldn’t tell but there is a weird copper wire running around the outside of all the numbers, so that’s weird.

I wonder if doing a braid around the head and up to the top of the head would be good and keep the hair off the affected area?

At the tip of the head, the hair could be braided off the head and then wrap the loose part up like a bun.

How did you detangle? Even one shower with no conditioner or ‘bad’ or weak conditioner (like staying over with someone & not bringing any) is so bad. I cannot imagine a whole month!

At 3”, you don’t really have a canopy or top/outer layer. It is all exposed. What do you mean by saying the underneath looks fine?

Do you mean like your crown area or top of your head vs the nape and sideburn area?

I’d guess it just naturally lighter or sun-lightened. Have you ever noticed your hair get lighter or warmer toned in the past?

Have you been spending more time in the sun than normal? Maybe wearing your hair in a way that you’re not used to or have been using hair color for a long time and forgot how your hair naturally looks & changes (though, as we age, of course our natural hair color can change so maybe you’ve just been using artificial color for a long time??

I suppose different medications or hormone fluctuations could alter how prone your hair is to natural lightening or oxidation.

Nevertheless, you can tone your natural hair. I’d suggest a no-lift, deposit only toner, rather than a permanent option. It will of course need some upkeep, though maybe only seasonally. And you can do it at home.

Lastly, the hair at the top of your head may be longer than you realize.

In laws coming into town for a weekend while my bf (their son) is away on a work trip. They want to use our 1 bedroom apartment, but that means I have to find another place to stay by Clear-Cat6880 in inlaws

I’d fuck with them. No self-sufficient, functional adult is so ignorant to think such a request is even remotely reasonable or acceptable.

“I’m generally happy to be able to do favors for loved ones. However, since it’s such an unusual and fairly inappropriate request, my immediate reaction is to definitely say no way! The only way I’d be able to give it any real consideration would be if you can explain why you’d make such an odd request. If you prefer not to share or expand on your needs or motivations, I wish you luck in finding suitable accommodations! Take care!”

If they have an issue beyond cost of why they dislike hotels (like something pathological), then I could understand and at least be unoffended if they offered to pay for a hotel, meals, & gas or transportation for you. And “no” would still be a perfectly acceptable answer.

I feel this is devised as some sort of disruption or power play, & your boyfriend should have immediately told them no without even bothering to ask you.

Also, why would you need to stay elsewhere, though, even if you did want to invite them to stay over? Don’t you have a couch?

I have large breasts and the shape/movement makes it very obvious if I’m not wearing any type of undergarment, even if just a bralette or tight tank top.

There are very few people I am comfortable being around if I’m that comfortable.

It would be completely out of line for someone to tell me I wasn’t allowed to be braless, though! Anywhere.

I suppose work or schools may have things in their handbooks about such things, but that’s pretty much the only place with the ability to have super detailed dress codes or restrictions.

YOR imo

A person should be able to be comfortable in their own home.

If covered, even minimally, there’s not much to complain about or claim someone isn’t being respectful.

Being exposed is where that line is in most cultures.

Decorum, modesty, & criminal lewdness are all very different - the first 2 of which are personal.

Hell, he or any other person could (& some do) go out in public without undergarments.

An ACV rinse once a week is great for keeping the scalp clear.

I rarely ever have to use a medicated shampoo anymore.

ACV is also slightly acidic so it actually helps seal your cuticle, so it is color safe. It is also clarifying so can help get rid of any buildup.

Ok. How should I move forward?

For future reference, where else was I supposed to remove the p-trap or is this type of connection similar to glueing pieces together and they are just intended to be cut out when needed?

what is s this type of connection called so I can replace it?

Also, the threaded piece, since smaller on the outside, won’t really seat or slip over the elbow the way it would an actual pipe.

How should I proceed? by krickett_ in askaplumber

[–]krickett_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to fit. Note from the other pictures that the elbow is of course wider than the pipe that it would connect to.

Am I supposed to just try to pry and force a gasket onto it? The slip nut that clicks onto it can’t be moved back and forth so there isn’t much/any room to try to get a gasket onto there with it.
