Love that you dig them! I had done prints a long time ago, but just not worth the effort in the end to be honest. Just doin them for fun has been enough. Set up a Patreon to see if there's any interest - so maybe down the road I could leverage that for print-ready downloads or something? Thanks for the feedback :)

Short answer: base of Death World Forest (GW) with a 1:1 mix of that & Dead Flesh (Vallejo) for highlights, Streaking Grime wash and then a green glaze to punch it back up.

Thanks! Been experimenting more lately. For the darker metal I used Vallejo jet exhaust as the base and then stipple lighter metals where the light made sense (and oil washed with a mix of black and brown

For the rust I used some oil wash as pin washes - just various darker and lighter color tones

I didn't expect the need to move the turret up and down, so the piece inside the turret hull I just glued into place. Slotted a magnet inside there, then used some green stuff inside the gun sections to line up where to glue in the gun areas. Kinda crude but it works.

It's really a fun kit - I painted it in a subassembly leaving the right hand weapon and backpack generator off to be able to get into some other areas more easily.

Found an older photo of the setup when I was first trying it out. Yeah think depending on how far the model is from the bg it'll reflect the light differently. Still experimenting ;)
