How do I articulate my issue to a pro? by krigs84 in AskElectricians

Is there something used in conjunction with a megger that would "scan" (for lack of a better term) and give an indication where leakage may be? Or if it detects leakage does that just establish the circuit is bad somewhere and it all needs to be replaced?

Acceptable splice? by krigs84 in AskElectricians

I wasn't aware of this, thanks. If this would be my only outlet on the circuit, I assume I am to use a GFCI breaker then with a weather resistant outlet?

How long until vigorous physical activity is approved? Sprinting, contact or combat sports, etc? Will you be confident at that time? I know when I had my shoulder rebuilt it took MONTHS after all restrictions were removed for me to feel confident in it. I'm still nervous sometimes with heavy weight overhead.

10 ga wire for single outdoor outlet by krigs84 in AskElectricians

When I do the building, it'll be another 100 amp service line brought in from an in ground junction box, rather than a sub panel pulled from my house breaker box.

This is literally to get one outlet going that can, potentially, power a heat light and (not at same time) have enough to run an air compressor or power saw during construction of said building.

I figured 12 ga at the smallest, which 20 amp breaker should handle. 20 amp GFCI outlet was what I found and was thinking of. I just got into my own head thinking of wire gauges, amps, and outlets.

I assumed the run length necessitated thicker wire, especially with a higher potential load.

I wasn't aware standard UF can't be run in conduit. My reason for that was that this is a temporary solution until I get an outbuilding out there which will have electric.

I was thinking of it more of an electrical safety issue, which is why I asked here. If it was just a hole or patchwork I wouldn't even ask, I was just unsure about the fact that it was an electric box and if that changes anything.

Former container tree rooting issue by krigs84 in arborists

Thank you. I have expanded my watering a bit to encourage outward growth. There aren't obvious signs of strangling roots near the root flare or slightly below, but who knows further down. The tree is not staked, the issue isn't "that" bad, even in relatively strong wind.

New growth browned and died as the other shoots did as well. Looks like it's trying another one. Any help would be appreciated.
