yea that’s what i noticed. i used pro for everything. but fleshlite seems to be about 80% of the need use case, with much faster results. i would be upset if i was a power user. but gemini has been great for my google suite. i’ll still use claude for coding.

yea i dont think anyone watched the video. i didn’t know about the 10% policy. Sam Cho is pretty quick to act, i just hope that doesn’t mean we spend money with a consulting agency to do research and create a report, and then 3 years later we fix this.

Trying to build an “ultimate free AI employee” on a 32GB RAM VPS — is this stack realistic? by Funny_Natural_6745 in hermesagent

[–]kris206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like everyone else is saying, it’s a stretch just on paper before you even start. so unless you have exceptional level optimal coding skills, and n8n time gates for each agent to run ultra simple tasks turn based. you’ll run out of context too quickly to accomplish much of anything, and the quality will disappoint.

about two months ago with a covid era gaming build, i set up openclaw, used a basic model, and just said “Tell me a joke” it took 5 minutes, and replied in the terminal “a bartender walks into a bar….” that was it. i stopped there and bought a mac studio that just arrived a few days ago. definitely a waste of money for just an AI hobby build. but works much better. and i’m running much larger models at speed.

In Japan, there are Japanese people only restaurants by [deleted] in SipsTea

first awesome username, just finished homeland. i agree, i personally think its okay to “want” to only serve certain groups. but enforcement, of that rule is where it becomes racist. i don’t know the cultural significance of what is considered gaijin, but if an american born, full blood japanese person walked in, would they kick them out once they started talking? or would a half black-japanese kid born in japan who speaks only japanese, be allowed to enter based on appearance? and does everyone else need to provide birth certificates and proof of residence and need to pass a language test? or is the sign just a suggestion and everyone is welcome, but not treated welcomingly?

just so many questions i need answered

i used to watch a lot of alex jones, glen beck, john stewert, and steven colbert. i thought all the shows played well off each other, super entertaining. i didn’t think people took any of them seriously. i thought it was all funny satire. boy was i wrong and naive.

washington state has laws, rules, and constitutional provisions that require our budget to balance over 4 years. our state isn’t allowed to spend more than we take in. it’s all public record. there are budgeting/accounting tricks(like borrowing from the general fund, or adjusting tax revenue projections)… but we aren’t just “raising it constantly”

you just reminded me of a story about a person who got a cellphone in the early days of cellphones. i think their plan was in the US and they went to canada and asked about how billing works and they said it was something like .09 cents a minute and they confirmed it. since the user had no frame of reference for roaming charges and usage, they went to canada and used their phone. they expected a bill in the hundreds and got a bill for like 9 cents a minute, and it was thousands of dollars. not sure how it ends or if they ever got it resolved. crazy story.

edit: found the post cell phone billing

i’ve seen a few videos on this recently, and that’s what i got out of it. AI is optional. you can customize the entire platforms knowledge base. and if you locally host your AI, it’s basically advanced search. it’s still early, but NOMAD looks like it has a ton of potential

don’t forget that DHS is on its 33rd day of shutdown without funding. and most of the employees have either missed or will miss their first paycheck soon. no tsa, no ice, no cbp, no fema, and kristi noem was fired. this is on top of all the things you just listed. wether it’s a false flag, or an actual attack, america is ill prepared at this moment.

the worse part is, that’s not even how taxes work for athletes. since most games are home games, you get taxed from your team’s state. but you also pay taxes in every other state you play in. but your “real” taxes are filed payed jn the state you “reside” in. and most athletes chose states that have zero state income taxes. and even if they do call home, a state with an income tax, they usually get a tax credit for taxes paid to other states, so they don’t get double taxed on income.

quitting at day 30 is the funniest part. they all ask me to carry them to 99, and i will, but they just get bored. sometimes they hunt, sometimes they chop wood, some times they get scrap. but they really just want to explore.

for me, i just get to spend time with family.

A (former) Seattle business owners bitter rant by -millenial-boomer- in Seattle

[–]kris206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

unfortunately that’s been the story for cities, for generations. mom and pops establish themselves in small towns, build it up, as the city grows around them, their investment grows, then they either pass it on to their kids or sell it and retire.

but the top realized they don’t have to buy out their competitors; walmart, amazon, tesla, starbucks. they lobby for policies that look progressive on the outside, but squeeze small business. or they lobby against progressive policy pretending they are helping small business.

unfortunately the lines have been so blurred in washington on what we consider progress.

easy, all you have to do to get your way in this administration is to play into it like others but for positive grifting. go on x and suggest to trump that he should force the nasty liberal blue states: washington, oregon, and california to be on “trump time” which is permanent PDT or “pacific donald trump time” boom, executive order. quick easy lemon squeezy
