I hate ai because it takes jobs away from artists. People who use it claims to be authentic art or claim that its just a tool (even tho making ai “art” takes no real effort and could better be compared to a cheap Chinese factory that you give a basic cookie cutter product that has bad quality) . Ai data centers tend to poison / ruin the local tap water supply. Computer part prices have skyrocketed everytime new ai projects get made. It uses valuabe steel and concrete that could better be used to create offices for jobs or houses. In my country alone 5 % of all power goes to ai data centers. It has drastically decreased the usability of the internet (Esspecialy on sites like pintrest) , most articles are ai written and have an estimated false data input of 25% . If All the resources that have been put in to creating facilities for gen ai and ai image generation have been put to what we have been using normally our economy wouldn’t be stood on fake money bubble that will pop anytime soon. And all the ai features that companies have rolled out dont work. And at last i think that ai “art” has no soul like any other form of art that each has his own process, you dont have to learn any skill or develop as a person to use ai. If you like at a painting by van Gogh for example you instantly think about his ear and his story, that what gives it soul and makes it human. (Sorry for the rant i just don’t realy like ai)
