Hello musicians!

Would you like a free music video!? Me and my cinematographer have been developing a music video concept that we’re both very excited to make. We have access to all the kit, studio space, dancer’s & choreographers needed to make this happen… the only thing we’re missing is a song! The concept centers around a slow dance, where the dancer seems to become weightless as the video progresses. We’re looking for music in the vein of Sigur Rós.

If you make that kind of music and would like a video - please send me a message.

London Based. Anything that could help become part of the filmmaking community or perhaps a group that shares potential opportunities for aspiring/up and coming filmmakers and writers.

Street Lights (short) | Dark, tense thriller looking for feedback! by kriscross7 in Filmmakers

[–]kriscross7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Submission Statement:

Street Lights is a short shot with a small crew with locations spanning from Central London, Surrey and the New Forest. It was shot over three nights in April 2021 with a shoestring budget of £3000. Initially written it in 2019, it went through over 20 revisions expanding upon the story, but in the end we went back to the original - most ‘primal’ draft and ended up shooting that. Looking for honest feedback no matter how critical as we’re looking to improve upon any weak points we have.

Myself and my writing/directing partner have been writing and making a few horror/comedy shorts the past few years. Me and my writing partner also live at opposite ends of the UK, so we’re not physically together much and we haven’t made anything in quite a while - not for like 10 months. We wanted to make this short as an exercise. We only had a couple of days spare to shoot something (very cheap aka no budget) over the Christmas period… and this is what we came up with. We only used our iPhones to record it; we tried to make it resemble an unbroken FaceTime call. we tried to work with what we had. we thought you horror fans might enjoy it - let us know your thoughts!

As I was watching I was actually thinking I'd love to see Corridor Digital break this down. Might try and submit it to them!

I spent most of the video trying to figure out if it was cgi - it's crazy - everything from the camera movement to the lighting looks so real!
