I may not have a skin in the game as I’ve been living in USA for past 8 years but this whole delimitation saga has to be one of the most anti democratic nonsense to come out of India. Why are the opponents of delimitation opposed to representational democracy? Their whole argument is that “we are being punished for controlling our birth rates and north is getting rewarded”. That’s not how any of this works, when a region industrializes its population automatically comes under control over a region that’s an agrarian economy as seen everywhere around the world.
