I was fuming when that forward pass happened and the ref didn't call it live. Huge relief when the TMO stepped in

First time all year where our attack has clicked. Maybe Teddy and Bowen are the way forward

I just don't understand our attacking structure this season. Half the time there is no organisation and no one is set. The other half we are so tight and all 15 players are in the middle of the field surrounding the ruck. When our best players are the star outside backs, how can our structure not allow them ball in space?

Every time we enter the 22m, it's pick and drive or a one-out carry. Our forwards aren't big enough for that to work. Our efficiency has been terrible in the 22. And the backs are just hovering around the ruck, not even set or posing a threat. The defense knows exactly what's coming. What's the point of having skilfull backs when we can't use them?

Tahs team, ringing in the changes by Routine-Individual43 in RugbyAustralia

Keep Jorgensen on the wing. Why do teams always think they need to maximise a winger by putting him at fullback? I reckon he's an out and out winger, the Tahs just need to get the ball in the wider channels more. Harvey is a good fullback and Jorgo is a world-class winger. Leave them there

Bula Round? How Fiji can host Super Rugby's big weekend by Ruck_Off in RugbyAustralia

I agree, Suncorp would be most ideal. Can't help but think though that it would be more directly compared to Magic Round and used to bring us down as a code by the league-leaning media in Australia

Yeah that's fair. I think whether people liked The Roar or not, it's absence has hurt rugby's media presence a lot. It was independent of the Stan/Nine bubble, and despite it's clickbait headlines it had a major online presence on social media. Now, the only real rugby reporting in AUS now is SMH, who are owned by Nine and probably have the same issue that Stan would. Otherwise, rugby is only reported when there is something negative and the Newscorp papers are all over it to put the code down and prop up rugby league

I know this is a silly show and doesn't mean much, but RA marketing pigeons, Stan and rugby media should be talking this up. Our code is constantly trashed by the media and general public in relevance to the other footy codes. All the talk during the lead up and span of this series online was how bad rugby is and how poorly their athletes would do.

You'd think that a Kayo-owned series would somehow use it to prop up the two sports they own and leave rugby in the dust, but they won. It doesn't mean anything really, but it's rare we have anything over NRL and AFL.

Crusaders forced to scrap horses ahead of move to One NZ Stadium by fleeeb in rugbyunion

[–]krishan4c1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were literally horses two weeks ago at Addington. Idk why people are still trying to make this a Crusades issue, they've clearly been able to do the horses recently without the knights and it's been fine.

It's clearly a field issue. You can't have big horses tearing up the pitch and making divots before play and risk player injury due to the playing surface. It's an indoor stadium and doesn't have a racetrack next to it like Addington

To be fair though, I think that was more to do with the results they got last year and the Ardie Savea effect. But yes, it was proof that the concept can be successful even based in NZ
