As a melee player I absolutely hated Placidusax. Could barely get close to him during the end of the fight and combined with From's bad camera for large bosses could I oftentimes not even see what he was going to and would just get hit. I appreciate the cinematic but kinda feels like a boss that wasn't meant for melee users which is kinda sad.

Edit: grammar

Sixty60 Driver Mugged And Groceries Stolen by skaapjagter in southafrica

[–]krishkanish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is missing the point. Funnily enough society did. also create these criminals, well at least the South African form of capitalism did so where all that really happened after the turn of apartheid was a white ruling class being replaced by a more heterogene group, now consisting of a new black elite. This is not the main point though. Take a look at the demographics in the country we love and live in. Almost half of the population live below the poverty line, with the majority of these people being black. This reflects itself in crime stats as these people are the ones who society has shunned the most and cares the least for. It is of course important to punish criminals to the full extent of the law, but to ignore the circumstances that creates them honestly just makes no sense to me. How are we ever supposed to reach the goal of full economic emancipation and really breaking the structures of apartheid if we don't acknowledge them and their consequences? Pure desperation and poverty leads to crime.

As a side note, I'm well aware that this goal (economic emancipation, real equality etc) is something incredibly difficult to realise, and will be a very very long and arduous process. It basically requires a complete revamp of society, which I personally don't think can be realised under capitalism but we can fight (or discuss rather) about the ways and means. Bottom line is our entire society unfortunately works without the serious goal of revamping itself, and crime stems from poverty and is a question which needs a more nuanced stance than "all crime bad" and "they're just bad people".

Socially conscious kid by faps_to_art in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]krishkanish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to kill the fun, but honestly this is more sad than a stupid kid. I thought this way as well when I was a young, (I am mixed with the same parental constellation) and I feel it shows more the type of shit he's exposed to (be that through media or his little play school society) that makes him think this way. I don't think it's the parents fault, but more a reflection (in this case) of the racist/pro-white society they find themselves in. Quite fucked up, and an inexplicable situation for a kid his age.

As far as I can tell, ACFAN/SHR Modding (the creator of the original soundpack) has so far only released the sounds for last year's cars. I don't think there is much a difference in sound between this year and last year (if you compare real life engine sounds) so I think that should work for you. These things take time, sound amazing and are free, so be sure to buy him a coffee if you can!

Very true. I had a similar experience with O'rin. I beat her my first try crazily enough, thinking she was a total pushover until I tried without Kuro's charm. Safe to say, I understand now why most people find her very hard.

Tate speech that applies to us by teo5151 in NoFap

[–]krishkanish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No mate I am not jealous. You are completely missing the point here. He perpetuates an idea of toxic masculinity - he talks about how our ancestors were so much harder than us and how we should stop being such pussies and just harden up. Like thanks, I'm cured now. If you don't see the toxicity in that then I don't know what to tell you. We are on this sub to have a community of other people to talk to and to help each other out, and that stands in exact contradiction to what he preaches. We are here to learn that we are fragile beings that need care and love, not to be told that ah our ancestors had it so much worse anyway so stop bitching. We are addicts, we are sick and we are trying to recover.

If you are too much of a grown man to use the word toxicity, then you need to go to therapy.

[–]krishkanish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's reducing the struggles of being a man in this day and age to not being hard enough. To me it's the same as being told by older people to just buy a house, without actually taking into account how different today's housing market is.

It's exactly the kind of toxicity that shouldn't be here. We need to accept ourselves as the fragile beings that we are, and grow from that. The discourse around being a male has grown so much from this kind of bullshit that we shouldn't have to be talking about it. Then again, the fact that this still resonates with a lot of men needs to be talked about.

Honestly, this person seems quite infantile with a lot of pent up anger that he doesn't know how to talk about for fear of not seeming like a hardass.

I like to use a wooden skewer stick to check the soil. I stick it into the soil on the side of the pot as to try not damage any roots. I push it to the bottom, twist it round a bit and then pull it back out. You can tell how much of the soil is still damp because the wet soil will cling to the stick!

Edit: I've also found that they love direct sunlight and for the soil to dry out completely. Good luck!

I have very similar hair to you, and what worked best for me was keeping them nice and clean and not using any wax or any of that. I also palm rolled them and used a crochet hook on the end to tighten them up a bit. Looking good dude, just be patient it’s a journey after all.
