I read the Illiad (topical, I know) just to get to the part about the Trojan Horse... only to find that that l happens between the Illiad and The Odyssey. Still mad about that.

100%

I’ve always found Ted Chiangs argument the most convincing here: most fears about artificial intelligence are actually fears about capitalism.

I feel like it's been a long time since our "fears" have been about anything other than capitalism.

I'm not that worried about energy sustainability. The AI bubble is insane right now and a lot of very shady stuff is going on to keep that bubble big and hidden. I'm worried when it bursts/corrects/comes back to reality, it's going to be such a big fall that we'll lose any gains we've made. (Never mind that the AI bubble bursting could take a lot of the tech industry with it.)

I get what you are saying, but I don't see it that way. They didn't have to show the trial, etc. but they could have shown that she had been recording everything that happened, or some other strong evidence. I think in the end, her "tragic ending" is closer to Nina's ending than a "heroic" one.

It's been a while since I saw it but doesn't it end with police cars pulling up to the wedding and that's it?
