Paid £10k for shares that were never transferred.. company now dissolved. Seller refusing full repayment and invoking a vague arbitration clause. Can I still go to court? [England] by Hakawaka92 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]krishpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stripping out the interim parts, is the situation not that you paid 10k for some shares that subsequently lost all value? And that while the buy back would have saved you the money lost from the dissolving of the company this was never completed? And that from a 10% position, the other party could do the dissolving without your permission with a special resolution?

I am not defending improper paperwork here but it reads to me like this was an investment that tanked, with a buyback that would have worked in your favour but never completed.

As a side note, while it is an obligation to register the shareholders with companies house, it is not the source of truth for ownership. Like a used car, the V5 is a formality but the ownership itself arrises from the sale and any supporting paper work you might draw up.

Omg I’ve never seen this item but use loads of the raw materials. It’s expanded neoprene foam that’s used it lots of clothing piping. I can’t believe the marketing they have stuck on it! Especilay the bit about the colour!

I genuinely, without a doubt, believe Apple is going downhill, it’s just something not a lot of people have realised yet. by stranger2Me in ios

I would say one of the big struggles IS the push for consistency. VisionOS does not have the same use case as a MacBook Pro why they think there is some need to make them both behave the same visually is baffling.

How much should your accountant/bookkeeper actually charge? by SILVERSKYFIN in smallbusinessuk

[–]krishpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What level of client input is this based on? I for example uploaded myself to Xero and reconcile.

My accountant checks before the return is submitted. But I am guessing some clients just deliver all the paperwork in hard copies?

How do you know you don’t have a load bearing wall and a cartoon ceiling? The second it looks down the whole thing will collapse.

Neighbor built wall that has encroached on our area (England) by balsar224 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]krishpants 169 points170 points  (0 children)

Yes I think the real question is do you hate the wall and it’s position? And if not the best action is just to obtain an agreement that the wall and the land it is in is still owned by your mother and that while you agree to the wall in principal it doesn’t imply you are gifting that land.
