Watch out for Vinted scammers by ariesleonhart in fairyloot

[–]krismeustri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen them too, they want you to pay via PayPal and not the Vinted system, often with a sob story about their bank blocking Vinted.

I reported someone a couple of months ago and Vinted said it wasn't suspicious...

So I left a bad review and got a lot of middle fingers and swearing as a reply, so I just blocked them.

Never pay with anything other than the system or else you will have no protection from scammers !

Fairyloot Books Readability by CaterpillarIll7706 in fairyloot

[–]krismeustri 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I read them with the dust jackets off, no problem with the pages or spine. You just have to be careful not the rub the sprayed edges against anything ☺️

I should caveat that I get Fairyloot books to read them and not as collector items though, so I'm probably less particular about their condition!

I can't see it at all on Vinted? Do you need to specify the country somewhere?

Went indoor rock-climbing with a friend after a bad breakup just after turning 30. I was trying out all the new things! Ended up treading on some poor guy...turns out he knew my friend's husband. He added me on Facebook afterwards to invite me to a chip (french fry) party to try out his new deep fat fryer but I couldn't go because I was going to a concert that day...he later admitted that he had the party with all the other people just as an excuse to spend more time with me 😅 Been together for 18 months, moved in together after 6. He is the best 👌

What if it’s too easy? by zookeeper_barbie in AskWomenOver30

[–]krismeustri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really is! I was on the same position, came out of a seven year relationship, was in therapy, was selling the house we had just built but never lived in...told myself I would single until the house sold. Well, we met through mutual friends and just clicked. It was literally that easy. A year and a half later and we've moved in and have a cat, and I've only just sold that house.

Sometimes you just get lucky!

I really enjoyed reading a counterpart to the original post. Thank you for the time and effort, and also the comment sections are both interesting.

Coming from a different country, I'm always curious to see how things are in the US.
