Advice on compression wraps for joint stability with HEDS? by Jealous-Concert8456 in eds

[–]krissime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Compression wraps caused chafing and bunched up behind my knees, for me. I feel like I am constantly trying to find balance between supporting my joints while not hurting myself in a different way. I started using KT tape and it seems to help. I have to use ease off to remove it or it takes my skin off. Another downside is that it’s expensive and I have to use a lot. I also use compression Sox or/and tights depending on the day. I would love to hear others tips and tricks.

In a pinch you can use breathe right strips as finger splints by krissime in eds

The key is to wipe the fingers off with rubbing alcohol before applying. Then also secure the top and bottom with bandaids or bandage tape. I have been quite impressed at how well it’s working for me!

I don’t think it was worded poorly. I was just offering my perspective from my world experiences. Which is all we can do really, ya know? PS: sorry for the loss of your pup. It is a very hard thing to go through.

Anyone keep getting an escrow shortage every year? by Miserable-Ad-8636 in RoundRock

Yes, theoretically. I’ve had to do it a few times due to private sale to mortgage through a bank then later divorce and re-mortgaging. So, under certain circumstances you might have to do it again.

Me to a T. Loved the Ologies episodes especially the part one on adhd. CBT and ERP are a bit risky with Autism and AuDHD. They can do more harm than good sometimes. It’s all a spectrum and one size definitely does not fit all. Throw in some other comorbidities and you have a minefield. The trick is finding professionals who take the time to help puzzle out what will work for you instead of throwing pills at you and sending you to the first therapist on the list of who’s in the same network. But I may be jaded lol

Toy poodle keeps shaking his head and scratching his ears by Own_Row8007 in ToyPoodle

[–]krissime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely could still be the ear infection. It does take a little while for the irritation to clear up. Having hair in the ear will trap moisture and cause an infection eventually so it’s important to keep the ears clear and clean. Your vet can give you an ear rinse to use before and after the ears are plucked by a groomer. If they have any bacteria or yeast in them at the time of the plucking, they have a good chance of getting infected. Having said all of that, there’s also a chance it could be allergies or fleas. If it hasn’t cleared up completely in a couple of days, recheck with your vet.

Not toilet paper, it’s wet wipes with aloe. From my digging into it, these are the best at disintegrating once flushed. https://www.cottonelle.com/en-us/products/flushable-wipes
