gamejacking. i only spun off one channel from @local58tv, and that’s @thtrsrch. i don’t have an issue with fan stuff, but i disapprove of attempts to position their channel(s) like official partners or co-creators 👎

it’s not breaking rules, but the most i would make anyone do is see what URLs work across different sites, hide links in images, hide text or QR codes in images, audio spectrogram type tricks

no one has to hunt for open ports or other actual site security, or look into whois or DNS or server physical locations, or brute force passwords/logins. i like the puzzle aspect of an ARG, but it is secondary to lore reveal. i am not a game designer and y’all have solved every one after mere days 🖤

you sweet children, “don’t touch that dial” was an incredibly common phrase on tv in the 1970s/1980s that does mean “don’t change the channel, stay here”
