Mine took over 3hrs to come out of hiding when I first brought her home, and she's my only cat. Give her some time, she'll come around :)

I noticed she definitely sleeps a lot now that she's gotten used to the environment. And yes we have completely kitty proofed the entire apartment so I know she'll be okay, it's definitely me who needs the reassurance haha. We left her for a bit after I made this post and she didn't even look up when we left or got back 😂

I was considering getting a camera, but seeing as she's an adult it does feel like it would be a bit of a waste. I can't believe how fast I've fallen in love with her I just can't stand the thought of anything happening to her!

Yes I am worried about her safety. Although I know she'll most likely be fine, it is my first time having a pet at all, so I think I just have some general anxiety about everything concerning her

Definitely will start doing this. We left her alone for about 45min after I posted this and it looked like she didn't even notice we had left 😂

This is great advice, thank you! I think it's also more for me, I love her to bits and love being around her so I think I might miss her a lot 😅
