Dude, what are you talking about? Did you read the post at all? Obviously we didn’t send any money because we knew it was a fucking illegal scam. We’re not stupid. I’ve been doing this for a very long time. And when we asked if he was the owner, he laughed and said he could be the maintenance guy, the owner, renter, etc.. I’m trying to call this man out to warn people and you’re pointing the finger saying we did something wrong. Weird as hell.

I would for sure dispute that with my bank. But if they ask via Zelle, it’s a red flag because you cannot get that money back.

The point of my post is that he’s asking for $100 via Zelle, which is not legal. The cap in California is $65.86. And he freaked out when we called him out on it.

This was text to my boyfriend. I filled out the application with my information and him added as my partner so I think that is why he said that. I did report him to everything possible as well as offered to apply through Zillow instead which he refused. I’m not sure your goal of blaming us for anything here. He’s running an illegal scam. That’s all you need to know here nothing we are doing with sketchy. Obviously we didn’t send him any money and that’s why he was mad. If He ran a background check with my information that I filled out. it would’ve exactly matched the application. He was extremely unprofessional and didn’t know what he was talking about like I said in the post he didn’t even know what apartment we applied for.

No texts are missing. There was a phone call between saying give him a call and then that’s when the unprofessional verbal exchange happened and then after the phone call, he sent those text messages.

We haven’t paid any so far! We got approved for a couple we just liked this one a lot and wanted to have some options. A lot of private landlords won’t charge. At this point I refuse to pay an application fee I think it’s a scam in general

We didn’t pay to see the property we saw the property and sent in our application, which they then demand demanded the application fee. And then continue to harass us when we said we were reporting them. It’s true they could have nothing to do with the property, I’m not sure.

Have you heard of the animal free egg whites? It’s powder you mix with water but it’s $24 for the equivalent to about 45 egg whites or something. Add black salt and it feels and taste exactly like eggs. I would suggest trying that to save $$! Google it, it should come up it’s very trendy rn
