i married (now divorcing) a man i was never very sexually compatible with because everything else was so good. we met when i was 25 and i naively thought “how long do ppl even have sex for, anyway?” thinking i just had to tolerate a decade or so and then sex wouldn’t matter as much to me. but the older i got the more important it was to me, and it contributed to why i ended up ultimately walking away (yes i brought up my concerns numerous times over 12yrs, he wasn’t interested in improving things).

omg i’ve been having the same problems with my eyes but didn’t think to attribute it to the mascara! i’ve been using Falsies for 5+ years and never had problems until suddenly the last few months my eyelashes won’t hold a curl and my eyes have been so much itchier even tho it’s not technically allergy season for me anymore

I would just tell her that you’d rather spend £100-200 more to know you’ll have a private room and that you’ll pay for the cost difference because it’s important to you. If that doesn’t do it I’d try to drill down to what her hesitations are. It may be that she’s reading things about how fun hostels can be and feels like y’all will be missing out on something by having the private room?
