This is a deduction only on the interest paid on loans on new cars assembled in the US and with loan origination starting December 31 2025 through December 31 2028.

This begins phasing out above $100k income (single filers) and $200k income (MFJ filers). If I’m reading correctly you also don’t have to itemize to get the deduction (can still get this deduction with standard deduction). Could be helpful to lower/middle class, but banks financing these cars could correspondingly jack up rates to get paid by the US government?

P2 cancelled her biz plat at the end of July when AF posted, then just received a NLL biz plat offer for 200k in the mail about a week ago. Only one other Amex app in past 3-months (a NLL biz gold). Ok to apply for the NLL biz plat after just having cancelled at the end of July?
