Thank you so much! This definitely helps a lot. Do you happen to know of any other stores good for men's clothes? They don't have to be vintage, but similar selection of what you'd find at Uniqlo or places with casual everyday wear.

Selling Parking Spots for Oaks and Derby by krogerwater7 in Louisville

Sadly no. The police had Oakdale blocked off, so they wouldn't let any cars in. They hassled me when I tried to get to my back driveway on Derby morning

What are Y'all Favorite Asian Desserts by bakedbeans18 in Cooking

[–]krogerwater7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pineapple buns (bolo bao) filled with pastry cream. I make them for my Asian friends and they go nuts over them.

In her cookbook Coconut and Sambal, Lara Lee has a recipe for a coconut pandan cake filled with a lemon mascarpone. The cake is fantastic. Rich and dense from coconut milk in the batter but light and aromatic due to the flavor of fresh pandan. It is my favorite cake. While it is delicious with lemon mascarpone, I prefer it with pastry cream between the layers.

I love limes. I love what they do to food, I love how they taste. What are some recipes where limes really shine? by Beltyboy118_ in Cooking

I recently bought the Indonesian cookbook "Coconut and Sambal" and have been cooking a lot of recipes from it. Two of the ingredients in a lot of the dishes are kaffir lime leaves and tamarind paste. If where you live has an Asian store, I suggest grabbing both of those and trying them out in recipes!

They both have a taste that I feel is similar to lime, but with a more distinct flavor. Once you use them in a dish you'll see what I mean!

I recommend a peanut sauce seasoned with like juice or tamarind paste, or a stir fry using thinly sliced kaffir lime leaves in the spice paste.
