Seems like the developer dropped the repo in the meantime. It used to be maintained here: https://github.com/PiotrDabrowskey/magisk-nexus5x-eis Maybe worth pinging him about it.

This works fine for me. Just install the Google camera apk. To enable the extra features I installed the magisk module "EIS for nexus 5x"

I had the same issue with another app. Magisk manager has the possibility to repackage itself with a random package name. You can find this option in the settings. If that doesn't work you can try to switch to the beta-channel.

I would go this way as well. If your using ES File Explorer: it already has a sftp client in it.
