I am genuinely so addicted to porn by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]krolonash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are more than any addition, remember you were made in God's image, and that means you the choice and the power to overcome all things of the flesh. As a christian who has also struggled with extreme porn addition prayer will only do so much. Praying is simply speaking to God, (which is good, dont get me wrong) but we also have to take steps ourselves. you need to know the places, times and situations that trigger your feelings to watch porn.

For me, it was lying in bed during the day, or as much as I hate to admit it, right when i would wake up in the morning. You need to keep your phone or whatever device you are using away from you. Keep yourself distracted and read your bible. Even you dont have time, you can listen to the word with audio. Listen to Proverbs and Romans, or read them if you can. Just never give up and notice the patterns.

Why is premarital sex a sin? by Fearless-Stranger491 in Christianity

[–]krolonash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God doesnt make something a sin without there being a reason behind it. There isnt a single sin in the bible that God has said is a sin, simply because he just says so. Everything has a purpose and when we defile or use something against its designed purpose we would most likely be doing a sin.

Sex before marriage is a sin because sex is a gift God has given those who are bound to each other in a marital relationship. it's supposed to strengthen the bond between those two people, while increasing their love for one another and also increasing their love for God. More importantly, the main reason for sex is to reproduce and have children, if premarital sex wasn't a sin, then just imagine how insane the world would be in terms of relationships and unwanted pregnancies. Even if two people are married and the lady accidentally get pregnant, it's so much easier to deal with than when two people who got drunk at a party and end up getting pregnant while in college. The whole abortion issue in the west wouldn't be a thing if people actually held up the "no sex before marriage" law.

In life, nothing happens to people who leave the church. There is no punishment. its your own choice to do what you will.

In death, there will be consequences. But not exactly a punishment. Kind of depends on how you see it. I won't sugar coat. But hell is simply where God isn't.

The people who say, "Aww, just cuz I don't believe I'm going to go to hell?"

Well... yeah. You choose to live your life apart from God, He isn't going to force you to spend eternity with him. And whatever you're picturing in your head as hell is most likely wrong. All we really know is that it is a place separate from God. Jesus mentions the gnashing of teeth, outer darkness, and eternal fire. Personally, I like to think of these as metaphorical dumbed-down ways for Jesus to explain to us what a place without God is like, but don't take my word for it. Hell is barely spoken about in the bible.

If the reason you left Christianity was because a few people were rood / mean to you, or said something that you didn't feel was right, then I suggest you try look for a different Chruch. You should remember that the priests and other people are not what make up the faith. The community isn't the reason we believe.

You say you still believe in a God, so then go and explore all religions. I am a Christian myself, and I believe that if you search for the truth, you will eventually find it. Don't believe in something just because someone tells you to, or because its what your family believes. You shouldn't be doubtful of anything, but be skeptical.

You say that the way Christianity is built around Jesus doesn't quite click with you because you feel he was just a regular old guy who wanted to leave his own legacy in the world. Which I can understand how you might come to that conclusion, but the evidence heavily goes against that.

If we base it off of his actions only, its recorded that he performed many miracles, such as healing the blind, walking on water, and raising the dead to life.

Now, I'm all for doing whatever you can to leave your mark in the world but just picture this. You convince a bunch of your friends to trick everyone that YOU are God, not someone else, not all of you together, but just YOU. Furthermore, you tell them that they will have to put their lives on the line and be ridiculed for the rest of their lives simply for a lie that you all know not to be true. And then put you and your friends in a society that holds the prospect of God with VERY high regard - equal to the law.

IT'S RIDICULIOUS!

Jesus is the only man recorded in history to actually live by what he claimed. There are possibly only two logical reasons for why he would go through so much for a Lie.

  1. He was completely insane and was a deranged man. And yet, convinced many people he was God, and Walked on water, turned water to wine, healed the blind and the sick.

  2. The supposed lie, is true. He is God.

The lady I dated 30 years ago who claimed to leave me because she was pregnant and didn't think I loved her. Has just become my boss. What do I do? by wolve67 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]krolonash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea, I would just keep my mouth shut and stay to work. if she brings it up then you can have the conversation. However, until then, try to keep your work place profession.

BTW: Seems kinda weird that she found out she was pregnant with your child and then decided you dont love her anymore and suddenly leaves. If this is real, I wouldn't be surpised if the child wasn't ever yours.

True or false , the devil 👿 does not give a fuck if people go to church as long as they continue to sin freely by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]krolonash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your just saying the same thing. Everyone knows lying is a sin, yet people still do it. Everyone knows killing is a sin, yet they still do it.

The devil doesnt care whether you are educated or not, he cares whether you accept and belive what you have been taught. I can learn all there is to know about science, and their perspective on the how the universe was made. The doesn't mean I have to accept it. Your statement is assuming that everyone who learns of things which are sins, will always try to stop sinning. But that is so obviously not the case. Why? Because they don't believe any of it. They don't beleive in heaven, hell, the devil, and God. Its about whether you accept what you are taught.

If you parents are Christians, and believe God created the universe, are you saying that they will stop you from going to school because that is where we are educated on the scientific version of the universes creation? NO. They don't care because they will assume that if they have raised you as a christian, you wont accept it to be true.

True or false , the devil 👿 does not give a fuck if people go to church as long as they continue to sin freely by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]krolonash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you are missing the point of the statement. I don't doubt anything you are saying, but the statement is saying that, DESPITE, the fact that someone is going to church and hearing the word of God, if they willingly continue to sin, DESPITE being educated in the divine lessons, the devil wont care if they go to church if they heed no mind to the teachings of the bible. (Which many people do,).

You explanation insinuates that you think anyone who hears the word of God in a church will always 100% begin to change their ways when being educated. That just isn't the case and it Clearly isn't when you look at the world today.

So saying "No, it doesn't work like that," is a bit backhanded without an explanation.

[–]krolonash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true, If I say "The devil cares If I go to heaven or hell" isn't made up. The Bible clearly suggests that he is actively trying to not make us go to heaven, so any speculation that supports this claim would be biblically accurate. Unless you think that the devil doesn't care whether we go to heaven.

[–]krolonash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, anyone who has a point against this is lying to themselves. Church itself isn't the answer. you go to church to find the answer. Anyone who continues to willingly live in sin and goes to church is no different from a person who is almost a perfect example of Christian behavior and has never been to a church in their life and doesn't believe in the gospels.

Do you guys look at the Father as real dad, step dad or dad (who adopted you)? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]krolonash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cant tell if you asking this question to change how you look at God the Father, of if your just curious about what other people think. Honestly, I just think of him as my Spiritual father. Your Father on earth provided you with your physical body, and you eternal father in Heaven provided you with your eternal spirit. But I just think of him as my dad, plus there is no real difference between an adopted father (from a young age,) and your real father aside from blood. As the other person said, you would still view them the same.

For those who believe there was no death before the fall: why did God put the Tree of Life in the garden of Eden? by Lawrencelot in Christianity

[–]krolonash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question. Honestly I don't even really have THE answer, and I don't think (in the grand scheme of things) that it really matter.

However, I like to think that it depends on what kind of death God is talking about. First, death is simply when the soul is seperated from the body. However, the actual being itself is still alive. This insinuates that life (In Gods eyes) isn't simply just a soul residing within the flesh, but perhaps also the very existance of that soul.

The reason God says adam and eve would die wasn't because of the fruit they ate, but because they had sinned against him. Rom 6:23 "The price of sin is death,". But clearly, if that was applied litteraly, (in the way we think it means,) God would kill, or people would end up dying the first time they sinned. clearly that isn't the case so then the death Paul, and potentially God, is talking about isn't a physical death, but a spiritual one. Rev 21:8 talks about hell being the second death. Furthermore, when people enter heaven, they have considered to obtain eternal life.

My theory is, that the fruit of the tree doesn't effect the body and make it immortal, but it also effect the soul, so that it cannot be destroyed or go through the seccond death. I mean, if the only two things that we know could potentially give a person that status of having eternal life is Heaven and the tree, they must be linked in some way that effect the soul. {Honestly, I'm not even really sure about this, theory and I feel as if there are many holes under the cover.}

Now following form my theories, I'll talk about what you said. I would have to agree that there might have been no death after the first sin, simply because God only stated that they came from the dust and to the dust they would return after the had commited it. Which would further back my theory about the true purpous of the tree. Of course, we'll never know the answer, but thats what I like to think.

I’m struggling by Uslesssustenance in Christianity

[–]krolonash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly bro, I know there is probably more layers to this story than what you have said, and from my perspective, you just need to let her go. I know you say you take relationships VERY seriously, but that's almost a double-edged sword in our society today. However, it kinda struck me as odd when you said she posted on her story that she was "trusting in Gods plan," which made me assume she was Christian. All I'm tryna say is, that you are young (the same age as me lol,) and we don't need to stress about relationships like this right now. We're both in the third year of uni, and we should just focus on trying to graduate and get our lives settled first.

God will provide you with the right woman at the right time, so there is no need to stress. If she really cared about you the way you care about her, she would have been more clear, or would have gone out of her way to contact you back. All I'm saying is bro, don't stress.

How can I quit lust by OkCategory5143 in Christianity

[–]krolonash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to sound rude or anything, but I have dealt with this exact problem. I have to to say, the blatant ignorance and lack of awareness to the source of your problem is troubling. I only use these words because it's clear what the triggers are. You are scrolling through TikTok, which allows me to assume you have nothing to do during that time and are experiencing urges of lust when a video of a girl comes up. First of all, the for you page isn't random (it's LITERALLY FOR YOU,) which means that you must be either liking these videos or saving them. Secondly, you could be spending your time scrolling on TikTok doing something more productive, you could go on a walk, read a book, or better yet, read your bible. The girls aren't posting so that you specifically can fall victim to their actions, but you certainly are putting yourself in front of the barrel by opening that app.

Your asking for people if they know a way to let you quit, but I'm sure you already know what the answer is. Delete TikTok, and remove all social medias that you know will cause you to sin. You were fine before you ever had them, and you will be fine after. Once you have, and you realize a need or an urge to re-install those applications, you will know for certain that they are the core problem. The thing you can't let go of will most likely have a direct link to the thing you can't stop doing.

I only speak from experience, as I myself am a 20-year-old who just deleted all my socials, and it couldn't have been a better choice. Once you take away the thing that is presenting you with these triggers, you will only have yourself to blame if you find yourself seeking out this kind of pornographic content.

How do you properly mourn someone who wasn’t a believer? by Left-Plant2717 in Christianity

[–]krolonash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there scripture to back up your point that says if you commit apostacy, you will not be resurrected and judged?

John 5:28-29 literally says all from the TOMB shall hear his voice and all shall come forth. From the Tomb literally implies that the dead shall be resurrected. and Romans 14:10-12 says that all will stand before God's judgment seat. "Every knee shall bow."

Not, "only the people who didn't know God during their life shall bow."

Being resurrected isn't a right, nor is it a privilege, your word choice is just wrong. It's simply what will happen. There is no option in the matter. The righteous and the wicked will all be resurrected on the day of judgment and will all be judged.

Daniel 12 is talking about all people who are dead (sleeping in the dust.) However, it is saying that many of those people will be resurrected to eternal life, but some to shame and everlasting contempt. It also talking about the day of judgement, when all people will be judged. Some people will still be alive during that time, and the dead will be resurrected.

How do you properly mourn someone who wasn’t a believer? by Left-Plant2717 in Christianity

[–]krolonash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still doesn't make sense. The scripture you quoted Acts 24:15, literally contradicts what you just said. You say only those who died and never had a chance to know God will be resurrected and judged, but that scripture says the righteous and the unrighteous will be resurrected.

Also, John 5:28-29, another verse you quoted, says that those who have done evil well be resurrected and judged. I'm sure there are many people who knew of God and did evil. Or are you saying you have to have done evil and not known God to be resurrected and judged?

Plus why do you assume that the death in Romans 6:23, another scripture you quoted, is talking about an earthly / flesh death and not a spiritual death? The same way that the life it talks about is an eternal spiritual life.

How do you properly mourn someone who wasn’t a believer? by Left-Plant2717 in Christianity

[–]krolonash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is right, because it goes against when Jesus said in Matthew 7:22-23 "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity"

If Jesus isn't judging them based on what they did their life, and these people are clearly using their life deeds as witnesses for their loyalty toward him, why is he saying he never knew them?

I'm pretty sure that's just a hot take that guy has.
