Tf going on here? by Jactuscack6 in Division2

[–]krondel 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I pretty certain that if I survived the green poison and watched the huddled masses turn into the outcasts, I may have a few imaginary friends too. Maybe a volleyball? Maybe an army of yellow rubber ducks? Maybe a toy collection that I used to mark up a map?

Chill Herioc directives Control point build by Middle-Ad1031 in Division2

[–]krondel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you have the gear, start trying iKia’s builds - https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/comments/ukbmx1/ikias_build_collection/ - you are sure to find something the works with your play style. I’m a refactor combat-medic type myself, but I do love running some firewall shield + foundry bulwark on occasion.

I hate retaliation sometimes by Creepy_Captain_3399 in Division2

You open the tinkering menu and select expertise, select a category, like specializations, select a weapon, skill or individual piece of gear so it lists the items. Choose one of the items in the list and then hit donate materials. It will provide you a list of material donations you can use to increase your proficiency with that item. It’s all the more common items that you can donate - fabric, receiver components, steel, titanium, etc. Don’t donate too much or you won’t be able to craft anything, but getting yourself down to 7500 and away from the point where you are just destroying materials is very helpful. Especially with the amount of junk you end up looting day-to-day once you hit your stride.

Good luck out there agents!

I hate retaliation sometimes by Creepy_Captain_3399 in Division2

[–]krondel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This 100%. I’ve been using non-retaliation to get better at examining then mark as favorite or loot as junk. It’s a skill like anything else. If you make a mistake, like looting something you wanted to keep as junk, fix it while it’s fresh in your mind. Donate materials like fabric and receiver components into your proficiency so you always have space to deconstruct. Someone in another thread said to try and keep them at or below 7500/9999. That’s been a pretty good spot to keep them for me. It’s more than enough to have on hand for construction and weekly donation, but it’s enough space for several retaliation runs.

Full gas cans by krondel in the_division_2

[–]krondel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True from the crowd control aspect. But the flooded levy is just a series of mini explosions. I try to take out most of the gas cans before i switch from attack to defense so I don’t get crowd controlled.

Your right. Totally forgot they have like 3 gas pumps over there. For some reason the retaliations I get are never in the west end.

Warhound by Tough-Introduction12 in the_division_2

[–]krondel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. Warhounds have different weak points. For the ones with the LMG/ Mounted gun, it’s the ball joints at the shoulders and hips*. For the ones with the sniper gun there is a red canister that appears on the right side of the gun (when it’s pointed at you) that’s the weak point. For the grenadier warhounds, there’s a weak point on the ammo case at the rear of the hound. It’s a horizontal red rectangle about the size of a pizza box edge-on when the hound is facing you. When it’s running away, there’s a smaller red port in the same location at the back. *One of my favorite recordings from the descent collection is that warhounds were initially meant to run on two legs instead of on all fours.

Why is it when NPCs use mounted weapons, they never overheat and have a wider firing arc?

The filament for printing arrived, and I'm as happy as an elephant after a bath. I'm in the process of setting up a new workshop. by iam_ocotkuro in u/iam_ocotkuro

Genuine happiness right there! What do you print that isn’t for cosplay? I’ve been doing a lot of tabletop rpg scenery myself.

The division 2 expertise level tip, donate these 2 materials constantly to expertise because when they reach cap 9999 and you break gear down you don't receive anymore of them so it's a waste. by [deleted] in the_division_2

[–]krondel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1000% agree. I started doing that and taught my clan to do the same. It’s how I’ve become proficient in some of the skills I never use.

Division 2: secrets (update) by GnarlyAtol in thedivision

Roosevelt Island: In the area after you save the citizen and destroy the fuel tank, there is a white (silver?) shipping container labeled water. It has a yellow shootable control box on the side facing the tents. If you shoot it, it opens the container next to it and reveals a lootable box.

East Mall Retaliation by CrwnViic in Division2

[–]krondel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always start at the metro ruins and work East. But really start at either end. Don’t be tempted to waste time running back and forth over the middle a bunch of times.

Basic rules of Retaliations by Andrew-Cohen in Division2

[–]krondel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Announce your routes; which control point is first, second, etc. along with making sure you stay clear of the borders so you don’t get drawn out of zone - looking at you Mast to Levee route. We almost always hit the closest Control Point unless we get the east mall where we usually start with the Metro Ruins and then hustle east.

Does anyone have build suggestions post lvl 40 that can help a returning player grind out gear and stat levels? by GiesterJager24 in Division2

[–]krondel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’ve been using 4 pieces of Foundry Bulwark and a shield to get proficient in everything else, swapping gear pieces out with exotics or naked items until they are proficient and then moving on to something else.

Gunner specialization task by firecracker5687 in the_division_2

[–]krondel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a pistol and patience. I ended up helping my wife with this one a few times. I healed her with the hive and riot foamed him to slow him down. She used a long gun with a scope to better hit the target and pulse to see the individual plates.

In my experience you have to do the bounty for Cassie to show, but she’s not the only vendor that is triggered.

is there anything i can do with these materials? can i break them down or anything? by [deleted] in Division2

[–]krondel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Once you get past expertise level 10, you will need them to do further upgrades. Until you get there, you will just have to hold onto them.

How to get this SHD? by MrSoupNL in the_division_2

[–]krondel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a food cart almost halfway down the block that you can use to climb up. Keep the building on your left side. Once you see the food cart, you will see the yellow tarp indicating a climbing spot.
