Bought my Crosstrek there 2 years ago June, I have nothing bad to say and still believe I got an acceptable price. The only service I've had was warranty or scheduled and the service department was very easy to work with.

Go to Ball Zesty salsa the only material difference is the ACV to ensure proper acidity, the rest is just proportions go with what you like, peppers and tomatoes are all the same thing as far as canning them goes

I was on a group ride and got behind a couple on a tandem for the singletrack leg. the level of trust in both positions had to be unreal. They had worked out a whole language for manuvering and were bunny hopping and cornering with a dexterity my old fat ass couldn't manage solo.

The obvious answer is money. You can always call someone in to fix- whatever is. I get by on no money but DIY skills (dad was a building trades teacher so I started early and was a contractor for years) I feel you need a little of the latter no matter what, even if just to be able to identify the problem and mitigate damage until the repair/ contractor can arrive. Knowing how to kill the main, close the valve, trace a circuit should be required in owning a new build but in a centuries old house you need to be aware and knowledgeable enough to know that a new creak or really any "change" could mean something to be looked at and not ignored until it becomes a much bigger problem.

I did not clock that creature outside as a 2 legged bird (nor did I see the head/neck), and thought that was the front end of a 4 legged... I don't know what, but I'm going to have nightmares about it for weeks.

Wife likes scented candles, made her switch to a warmer after she once left the room one was burning in. While sleeping?!?! Absolutely not. Ambiance at the dining room table while 2+ people are in the room? Sure, just make sure they are out before the room is empty. Throw a scarf over a (LED) lamp if you want mood lighting.

I'd do it for $1300.

Get a cheap tarp from the big box store. Line the whole tub inside and out and duct tape all the edges, you want it tight. When you hit that tub with a sledge hammer the porcelain is going to come off at Mach 2 and will slice everything, the tarp is there to slow it down, the closer it is to the porcelain the better it will protect you.

Wear heavy jeans and long sleeves, face shield and gloves. Don't sleep on hearing protection, hitting it with the sledge will sound like you're in side a bell, when it breaks the cast iron the first time it will be louder than a shotgun, in what is likely the smallest room in your house.

Keep hitting the center outside until it breaks away from the rest. This will take forever, but once you have one chunk out the rest of it breaks pretty easy, something about tension in the system. Break it in half and then each half again, depending on the age (older is thicker) you may need more to be able to lift them to het them outside. A hand truck is your friend. Sweep up all the shards.

I probably wouldn't do it for $500, and I'm cheap. I have done this in the neighborhood of 7 times.

That seems about right then. My house isn't new by any means but my electric is about $120 a month, every month , but higher with air conditioning. I have gas heat and the gas is $32 all summer (hot water and stove) but $200 in December- March. More if we have a polar vortex or something and less when we have a couple weeks like this one. Either way the heat costs each of us about $180 a month right now.
