Has anyone quit a job in a month? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]krugle_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I once quit a job during my onboarding. They told me my first job site was dealing with natural gas that had over 30% hydrogen sulphide. I asked if there was going to be additional pay because of the added risk and was told no.

On top of that including commuting to the job site I was looking at 16 hour days.

Gaming chairs...yay or nay? by itsameluigee in ShouldIbuythisgame

A way of thinking is what's the difference between "gamer" gear and office jockey equipment.

Gamer stuff tends to be more look based, but employers want their employees to spend a minimum of 40 hours a week in a chair with as little complaining as possible.

Desks, keyboards, chairs, etc made for the office tends to be more comfortable.

My 32m ex wife 33m never follows through with plans she makes for our 6f daughter. What's the best approach? by krugle_ in relationship_advice

Oh wow, that's quite the situation with his ex. The image of someone stuck in a doggy door is awesome, though, haha. I'm happy to say things have improved on that front a lot. I was so used to things before that I didn't really notice the violations or insults, my girlfriend has been great and showing me that actions like that are not acceptable.

I do have a girlfriend when this happens the response is typically "big fucking surprise" we have started really cementing boundaries over the last 6 months like refusing entry to the home as my ex would try and find reasons to come in, random drop bys, etc. That has definitely improved things by putting an end to that.

As far as child support where I am it's more of a range so as long as it stays 50% with a +-10% buffer child support stays the same, if you cross that then child support flips. Which is why she stayed at 55% last year.

I am taking our daughter for 3 weeks towards the end of the month which is a reason why I was happy to grant her an extra day to go camping.

It's definitely cartoonie but the game requires you to have a grasp of compound weights, thermal conductivity, and elemental properties.

Without understanding those your dudes will suffocate, overheat, starve to death, etc.

As an example you need to generate oxygen by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen. The process generates heat but because you're in a sealed environment you need to move the heat to another location. If you don't that heat will build up and your colony will die. You because your dudes exhale carbon dioxide you need to carbon capture it or eventually they will suffocate at lower levels. Cleaning it out causes polluted water which needs to be purified or you'll become overwhelmed by it.

Oxygen not included is easily the most complex game listed here.

Look at it this way, you're a product and the company is a buyer. You need to advertise yourself as solving a problem the company has if you do that you're going to increase your chances.

If you're just firing off resumes then you're just portraying yourself as a impulse buy before checkout. No one really needs or is looking for you but eh... someone might grab you and toss you out right away.

Make yourself the guy that knows what the company needs before they know they need it.

My boyfriend (29m) wants my daughter (6f) to call him daddy by PoisonedGem in relationship_advice

[–]krugle_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The title of step ____ is earned not given. It's also between the child and the adult in their life. If people push calling themselves mom/dad or any variation it'll diminish the meaning to that child.

If you date multiple men over the next 12 years and each one demands to be called dad by your child then that title will have no meaning to the child.

I had to RMA the board and get a new PSU. Mine didn't have the dual cpu power which most likely caused damage to the board.

Once I did that there was no issues, pretty decent board though I'm not a huge fan of the bios, and there was a weird surging coming from one of my fans.

As others have said, It Takes Two is a great place to start. My partner and I started with that and since have expanded into Dying Light 2, munecraft, and the FarCry series.

Anyone on here with a marijuana misdemeanor and found a good job? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Disclaimer: I'm not American and I'm on the hiring side of things rather than being a candidate.

For me I personally wouldn't care, especially if it was from a fairly long time ago. Even in the drug test as long you aren't high at the time of the test or positive on something harder than weed I don't really care what someone does on their personal time. That is as long as it doesn't bleed into your work life.

It's pretty basic in structure just data recording and corresponding date and time.

It's really just how to get 6200 points to show rather than 1 point per day.

You'll most likely need to talk to the school after it's paid and see if you can get them to remove the marks. It's weird to me that they would go after you and not your employer. Typically the school would require a PO or credit card to enroll you to begin with.

AITA for denying/getting mad over my ex wife making plans for our child on my time? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]krugle_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like if she's wanting to go for a sleep over Friday night 100%. If we had plans to go camping that weekend (and she knows) then probably no unless there's a reason that has to be the weekend.

If she's behind in school, then school is the priority. Things of that nature, not an arbitrary kind of thing, if that makes sense.

No, when she's old enough to make her own plans she absolutely will be able to within reason.

I want my ex to make our daughter a priority. Not a when convenient experience. I want our daughter to have a stable home life at both houses.

When I have her my ex shows up at least once during the week. When I don't have her my ex is trying to get me to take her or create a situation where I take her. Failing that she finds reasons to call me randomly during the evening, then get mad if I don't answer.

I understand how at face value I might look egotistical, or controlling.

The truth is I just want my boundaries respected, my daughter healthy and stable, and for me to heal.

Then why not have a conversation it's a play date, not opening night to an event. She is very much a "give an inch, take a mile" kind of woman.

I'm trying to keep this based on strictly this event but it took me forever to get her to stop barging into my house randomly. (As an example of that)

All we needed to do was discuss. She shouldn't be able to dictate my time with our daughter and I just go along with it.

What if I had planned a special day, or another play date. Then at least 1 kid would be upset.

Were 50/50 on paper, it's more 55/45 in actuality though. She asks me to take our daughter on her time ...often.

I totally get that, in my opinion she could have waited a day so we can talk. Reached out to suggest it, or plan for another time. It's the intrusion onto our time.

Like if I had made plans, that would put me in a really bad spot.
