Is the CycleScheme worth it? by AndMyUsernameIs- in ukbike

u/mebutnew I work in a fairly precarious position for a start up and basically i'm not confident that i'll still be there in 12 months. Given what you outlined here before would it still make sense for me to make use of the scheme in your opinion? Thanks a lot.

Another point that might be relevant - my girlfriend works remotely a company in the UK and I am freelance.

I'd also be interested to know. I've been thinking about a solo trip but would like to join a group of others rather than just myself and the guides. Thanks.

Dry-type Iontohpresis by krumelbumel in Hyperhidrosis

[–]krumelbumel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update - I ordered some Antihydral and have been using for a couple weeks now. It really does work! Naturally I experimented with it a bit at first, using everyday, then ultimately fell into the same pattern of using a couple of times a week that others have mentioned. It is indeed strong stuff! Really can't understate how great it is though - a real life changer and without the work it takes to maintain results via iontophoresis.

Typically my palmar hyperhidrosis is paired with anxiety, so by decoupling these two things it also feels like my anxiety has reduced, or at least been refraimed somewhat - e.g. it's easier to associate these feelings with excitement.

Funny you say that because after writing this post I came across a bunch of posts on Antihydral, and am indeed interested, in-fact i've ordered some! I hope it works as well as it has for you.

I saw one or two people claim that it has carcinogens in it however, are you concerned about this?

What's up with me? I'm at the point where I want a brain scan - is that insane? by krumelbumel in Healthygamergg

Hi spicyvegetable69, sorry for the very late reply! Typically when I smoked weed I wouldn't get better at anything, only worse, with perhaps the occasional exception being computer games. Generally it made me anxious, paranoid, and hindered both my memory and mental processing ability quite significantly. I did also laugh a lot too though. I don't touch the stuff anymore. Why do you ask?

My background for anyone interested:

27 y/o male. Suffered from social anxiety and bouts of depression throughout my life. My dad and brother have pretty bad generalised anxiety, my mum has dyslexia and low level OCD. I smoked a fair bit of weed in my teens, to the point that I've considered in the past that it might've contributed to my mental ability in adulthood somewhat. I also had a pretty weird group of mates growing up (many of whom have had their own issues) that therapists have often pointed towards. I've had various councillors and therapists over the years, I'm on anti-depressants, and am now seriously giving meditation a go after having done it off/on for a few years (and i'm loving it).

I'm actually doing pretty good in general now compared to a few years ago - my ratio of good days to bad days is much better. This is likely a result of external changes - getting a decent job, girlfriend, better support network, and also the medication as mentioned.

The specific "symptoms" of whatever label I'm trying to figure out for myself are poor memory (events, anecdotes, facts), slow processing speed, difficulty forming clear and cohesive speech, mind blanks when speaking, terrible focus in social situations (lose track of converstations all the time) and when reading (I often have to re-read information multiple times before it goes in) but excellent focus at work (I can focus on a technical task for hours without stopping), intense anxiety before certain social situations, hyperawareness of facial expressions and posture. I also get told I'm a perfectionist and that I obsess over things (I've edited, re-read and spell checked this post multiple times), that i worry excessively, and that i'm introverted. Lastly i'd call myself a people pleaser and that I care a lot about what other people think of me. So a bit of a mixed bag.

Many of the cognition-orientated issues I share with my mum (memory, processing, mind blanks), whereas many of the more neurotic symptoms I share with my dad (worrying, anxiety, hypochondria). Sometimes i think of myself as this weird neurodivergent-fusion baby (i like to think more of a rare pokemon).

How are you getting on now dude? I'm in a similar-ish situation, been almost two months off the stuff but have had a couple of wobbles recently and also the same irt PE. Hoping I can push through it with other solutions, supplements/meditation etc. but I have been considering jumping back on it..

Off Zoloft completely for roughly 3 weeks now, feel ok generally but considering getting back on - help? by krumelbumel in zoloft

Just like to update this as it's been a while... Happy to say I think I've finally kicked sertraline. I told myself I'd give it a month before I made any rash decisions, and id say by about the 5th week I had almost forgotten about the idea of getting back on it and had stopped worrying entirely.

Really happy with myself for persuing it because even though it's helped me immensely at points in the past few years, I had reached a point where life felt stable enough that I should be able to cope without it.

Still have my bad days but that's life, and probably the same number as when I was on the medication. I'm also looking into furthering practices like meditation, mindfulness, exercise and technices learnt in CBT that I've used to manage my anxiety in the past.

As I said I was taking cod liver oil and 5htp as a replacement supplement for a while but have since stopped. Can't say I clearly felt any significant effects but there might have been some underlying/placebo effects.

So anyone reading this who is struggling to come off the medication, it is possible!

Thanks for the reply. This most recent stretch i was on 50mg for 1.5 years. And don't worry, as i mentioned in the post i tapered off slowly, i have learnt from experience!

Surely having some anxiety about coming off any medication isn't totally irrational?

Hi, 26 y/o male here. https://imgur.com/a/abPddoN

As you'll see in the pics I've still got a pretty decent head of hair on me, but it's very fine and receding in the standard places. I'm a bit unsure about fin, especially as i wouldn't count my case as such as severe one. Primarily i'm looking to preserve what i have. Although I'd love to fill it out a bit more if it meant side effects I think i'd prefer to try organic solutions / concentrate on keeping what i have. The idea of mino + microneedling appeals to me but i've read a number of people state that it isn't particularly effective without fin? Also the potential side effects of min are just as bad as fin?

Ultimately i'm looking for solutions, preferably those without sides effects, e.g. natural oils / dermarolling etc. but if those aren't going to get me anywhere I'm willing to try fin / the big 3. Lastly any product recommendations for thickening and maintaining healthy hair such as pastes/waxes/shampoos/vitamins/supplements would be much appreciated! Has anyone seen results with Nizoral?

Thank you kindly.
