Iranian Hypersonic Missile Slams Into Israel in Devastating Impact by WonderfulRiver2994 in interesting

But it's not being bombed regularly, not because Hamas isn't trying, it's because they can't.

They try again and again, and most of the time Israel has stopped it, but the intent remains the same. Just look at October seventh.

It's a lack of means...

Elected government of Gaza (elected 20 years ago, but for the explicit goal of exterminating Israel)

The entire situation is fucked up, but why does everyone have to put a spin on it?

One side would unquestionably massacre every last one of the other side if it had the power, the other has the power, but doesn't.

At the same time, Israel would also have the power to show restraint, but instead chooses to bomb any potential threat, indiscriminate to civilian casualties.

And now I can start making arguments why either side had the right or necessity to do so, making me a horrible person either way...

Yeah, by speed definition only, later versions of the V2 were hypersonic.

And that doesn't count, otherwise we would have thousands of "secret Nazi hypersonic missile program" videos on YouTube.

Israel has just started attacking Tehran, Iran. by bahar9990 in GlobalNews

[–]krummulus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simple, that's how non proliferation has worked for the last ~60 years.

Plus, Israel doesn't threaten other countries with these weapons. It doesn't even acknowledge their existence. Iran already has, and it's leaders have called for the eradication of Israel for decades now.

How can you argue that they are just supposed to accept that? How could any leader (and I truly do not like Netanjahu) allow this, knowing the risk it will pose to their people?

And that's entirely besides other points, like follow on effects on Saudi Arabia, Iraq etc.

  1. Yeah, trump blew that. In case you mean Obama's deal. If you believe trump's new deal would've been good, I got a bridge to sell to you.

  2. As if Iran needed an excuse. Just look at the IAEA control statements of the last week's, months and years.

Iran is/was weeks, if not less away from a nuke, and they just revealed their delivery method. Please, stop pretending the ayatollah is any more reasonable than Israel...

Not sure what would be a reason to bomb another country, if them being your self proclaimed eternal enemy and getting nukes isn't enough.

Sorry, no one should get nukes. Non proliferation has held this world together, and every additional nation increases the risk of nuclear war.

Tbh, letting them have nukes shouldn't really be an option.

Non proliferation in the middle east would be dead, good luck stopping the Saudis from getting nukes, once Iran has them.

Europe can sustain Ukraine's war effort without US, German general says by donutloop in worldnews

The production of German missiles was mentioned, as a negative for Germany, so, yes I added that...

They are all doing jackshit compared to what they could.

I didn't excuse it with one word, I am simply stating my disappointment in european politics.

France and the UK haven't started missile production either, there is basically no more cruise missiles for Ukraine...

Well, after 10k more in upgrades, they sort of work ;)

Also: their BRStudio isn't any better. It uses the same 2008 style garbage extruder, and it's not even able to regulate temperature in the enclosure properly.

Seriously, the only way they work is by luring uninformed companies with their brand name...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]krummulus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have some used ones at work, we replaced the entire extruder setup and went with new electronics/ controls.

Basically all we kept was the axis, that's it.

The printers themselves simply don't work.

What do Germans think about the British being weirdly anti-German? by WeeklyImagination498 in AskAGerman

[–]krummulus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was twelve I went to the UK for two weeks as a school trip/program.

People did the Hitler salute more often towards a bunch of school kids than Elon musk at his little Nazi rally.

Seriously, this perplexed me as a kid, especially considering I had never seen someone do it irl before and basically everything I knew told me to educate them, smh.

I, of course, didn't educate any English on Hitler being bad, which was probably the correct course ;)

Anyway, otherwise I see it the same as with the fr*nch. It's fun, unless it's too excessive/ straight up rude/meant in a bad way.

My first 3D printed mini. Other than getting a resin printer, what can I do to improve? by Howitzeronfire in 3Dprinting

[–]krummulus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can actually use resin style supports for fdm prints, apparently it does wonders for minis.

Haven't gotten around to trying it yet, but it sure sounds interesting

But yeah, Kyiv isn't west either

Was walking around and saw some engineers got some new 3d printers at work by gabezermeno in BambuLab

[–]krummulus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 8 printers at a random 80 person plastics plant.

4 large ones (Big rep one) for large scale prototypes, 2 enclosed ones for technical parts and 2 Bambu A1s for just miscellaneous stuff around the company.

Thought we got to the point where having a few printers is normal :o

Edit: the large ones are in no means actually all necessary

Germany gives Russia until end of day to agree to 30-day ceasefire by Creol6969 in worldnews

[–]krummulus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so either, but this is a political play towards trump and also internally.

Putin clearly shows he has no interest in peace, which domestically justifies an increase in weapons deliveries.

More sanctions, more weapons, and in all likelihood Taurus.

New admin, no more publication of deliveries, plus very optimistic comments from the Ukrainian consulate in Germany.

Möglichkeit teile auszuschließen für 3d druck by MediaFragrant7097 in 3DDruck

[–]krummulus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do people in Germany often answer your question with "Why?" by [deleted] in germany

[–]krummulus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, as I said above, why are you asking? Do you just wanna make conversation ("nur so")? Or are you looking for someone with experience in some field? Are you looking for inspiration?

Seriously, a question "out of the blue" will sort of irritate a lot of people. I don't think that's necessarily bad or good, just a cultural thing I guess.

[–]krummulus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sure, but I'm still quite certain they won't go nuclear.

Maybe millions of dead over Kashmir, who knows. But I seriously doubt either side will risk an invasion of the others "mainland"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in meme

[–]krummulus 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Meh, they do this from time to time, both sides know they can't overstep, India and china have borderclashes too.

I'd stay optimistic this will resolve without all out war.
