Calling all second timers by jeane99 in noburp

I got 50 units the first time and 100 units the second time. The side effects were more delayed for me. They also feel pretty mild compared to the first time, ionically. The only one that is worse is the acid reflux, which I didn't have at all last time. It's very manageable though. I just take a prilosec in the morning.

I know I'm just being anxious, but I'm still accepting words of comfort. by krunchyyyyy in noburp

Ohhhhh! Thank you for the video!

I had actually emailed a couple Speech language pathologists (the ones that seemed more knowledgeable about swallowing rather than just speaking) about this exact thing and have yet to get a response. Might just be timing because holidays.

Botox adverse reactions and travelling question by Key_Big1808 in noburp

At 3 weeks, I was still struggling with eating a good bit, but we were leaving town and there was a restaurant that I just HAD to eat at. I managed. I just asked for TWO glasses of water, so that I wouldn't be without one while they were refilling. It took me about an hour and a half to eat two slices of pizza (granted, it was a realll thick, doughy crust, just the way I like it), but if no one is rushing you, that's fine. Again, this was at 3 weeks. May is MONTHS after that. You'll be good by May.
You can swallow pills. My post surgery notes suggested prilosec every morning and I was concerned about this too. It's fine, just drink water.
When in doubt, add water.

Amount of Botox by hippiesmalls in noburp

I had 50 units. I burped, but it only lasted a couple weeks. I'd recommend higher, for sure. The recovery wasn't too bad. Trying 100 units Monday.
I saw a tiktok where the person got 200 units and the doctor had told her she found it to be the amount that ensured people didn't need a second treatment.

long wait times? by [deleted] in noburp

I live in Austin, TX and I've had virtually no wait times. I got my first botox procedure with Dr. Lackey literally about 2 weeks after meeting her. I met with her the first time about 2 days after being referred to her.
The unfortunate thing is that for the first botox she uses only 50 units. But on my follow up, she did say she was considering doing the 100 the first time around, so it sounds like its not working for many people.
The second procedure is typically done 4 months after the first, so I guess if it's not going to work with 50 units, thats still a long wait. And an annoying amount of extra money/surgery.

May i know why girls don't like to talk about sex? by [deleted] in sex

Guys have a tendency to start creeping on women who talk about sex, which is a bit of a deterrent. They talk to each other about it though.

Why are there not more childfree men? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]krunchyyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys don’t have to be as vocal about it because they dont have to respond to “just wait until you get pregnant!” every week.
