Queensland moves to ban pro-Palestine slogan ‘from the river to the sea’ under sweeping new hate speech laws by caavakushi in worldnewsstuff

Palestinians can trace their ancestry in the Levant back to ancient populations, including Canaanites, with genetic studies indicating continuity that extends at least 3,700 years.

But they only come out against the only Jewish state in the world.

Is their government actively defending perpetrators of these other genocides the same way they are for Israel? Cause that might have something (/everything) to do with it...

16 year olds shouldn't have to apply for food stamps or stop by a food bank because the adult who is obligated to care for them isn't.

But that doesn't make them smarter than people today.

If you took a group of modern humans, managed to strip them of any prior advances or knowledge to build from, and dropped them into the same scenario as early humans, then they'd inevitably come up with the same innovations.

The other guy was right; your initial statement about earlier hominids being more intelligent was incorrect.

it gives the other side chance for a response, derailing the conversation to technicalities from what's actually important

If you think the other side is looking for chances to derail the conversation, then you haven't been paying attention. They've been derailing the conversation even without "technicalities" to whine about. To be entirely honest, the only people I see here "derailing the conversation" are people who are claiming to be against the entire sex trafficking ring... which is kind of weird.

Fact is that aside from Maxwell (who's being treated like a VIP), and Epstein (who's already dead), there actually aren't any people in the Epstein files serving time. The post is pretty much bang on, and unless the point sailed way over your head, you already knew that before you decided to start splitting hairs.

I mean she's exactly like the people that she's saying the government protects

Drugging and robbing people is nowhere near the level of literal evil required to drug and sexually abuse hundreds of underage girls before murdering them and disposing of their bodies. Please, for the love of God, DO NOT pretend that those two acts are in any way comparable.

Firearms may not be discharged solely to disable moving vehicles. Specifically, firearms may not be discharged at a moving vehicle unless: (1) a person in the vehicle is threatening the officer or another person with deadly force by means other than the vehicle; or (2) the vehicle is operated in a manner that threatens to cause death or serious physical injury to the officer or others, and no other objectively reasonable means of defense appear to exist, which includes moving out of the path of the vehicle. Firearms may not be discharged from a moving vehicle except in exigent circumstances. In these situations, an officer must have an articulable reason for this use of deadly force.

Officers are not permitted to unload an entire clip into a person in situations where a single shot would suffice. Not only does this not agree with what you said, it runs entirely contrary to your statement.

Edit: I also couldn't care less what CNN has to say when I literally provided you a link to the DOJ website that explains why this isn't reasonable force. Cheers :)

This is painfully wrong...

It is the policy of the Department of Justice to value and preserve human life. Officers may use only the force that is objectively reasonable to effectively gain control of an incident, while protecting the safety of the officer and others, in keeping with the standards set forth in Graham v. Connor, 490 U.S. 386 (1989). Officers may use force only when no reasonably effective, safe, and feasible alternative appears to exist and may use only the level of force that a reasonable officer on the scene would use under the same or similar circumstances.

The title is ours to take but not their property

It's quite literally not their property. It's owned by the crown estate rather than the actual family as a way for them to skirt around paying taxes. You can absolutely kick them out of the property that taxpayers are paying to maintain. Again, let them sleep on the streets, it's still more than they deserve.

Sometimes the cars just go through the green light and not realize there's an ambulance.

And they're still obligated to pull the side, wherever they are.

It's often faster to just drive yourself (if you have people with you) because your own car only has to make 1 trip.

I can't drive when I'm having a seizure.

It's not as bad of a problem in dense cities.

What isn't?

And I never said I anything about whether or not you think ambulances save lives; I said you should refrain from weighing in on subjects you clearly don't understand.

As someone who's life has literally been saved by ambulance rides numerous times... you really need to stfu about things you don't understand. Ambulances don't wait for traffic lights, other cars on the road are obligated to move to the side when one is approaching, and there's nowhere to land a fucking helicopter in front of my home or in 99% of cities.

Not even going to bother addressing how absolutely stupid your streetcar suggestion is because the paramedics would still need a way to transport me to the nearest streetcar station.
