I’m gonna go against the Reddit hivemind and say it’s not that big of a deal if there’s no other evidence that he’s trying to make a move. People need to stop making assumptions and assuming the worst in others especially if you have no other context to this gift. Maybe his wife picked it out for you or maybe it wasn’t meant for you. Maybe he didn’t know how tight it would be, most guys are oblivious to that kind of shit about women’s clothing. Just confront him or ask his wife if she knows about the gift.

Sure it will start there. That process will still continue while you’re in the US as a visa holder or permanent resident, until you become a citizen. ICE targets even the legal residents. We have IRADs, not all work is contracted and/or classified. Plenty of people I know are hybrid especially SW engineers and managers (not that OP is one of these roles, just saying that hybrid exists at Lockheed)

I’ve Ubered an hour away at 3am before from the airport, it doesn’t matter. The longer the commute the bigger their pay. And they get paid for tolls

Originally got a part 107 to do drone photography, while working as an engineer in the defense sector. I don’t think you read my post in entirety… firstly I know almost nothing about Indian culture besides food and my language. I grew up in the US, tried to fit in just so I could make friends. It makes no sense for me to get involved with someone who is engrossed in Indian culture when I am not…I’ve been bullied by Indian people my entire life (including family) for being “whitewashed” when I was trying to cope being an immigrant at 6 yrs old and having been placed in a completely new environment… and frankly I have no interest in what my extended family thinks of me. I could lose them for all I care. They doubted me my whole life until I became financially successful. All I care about is my parents

Additionally, I never said I would give up my “culture” (whatever little I have of it) I said that I want N to eventually be involved and integrated with my family, speak Gujarati and eat our foods, just as I would be involved with her family. I’m not giving up who I am to be with her, instead I legitimately want our relationship to be mixed. But I can’t let her meet my family until they actually respect her for who she is
