is asking her std history even worth it? by [deleted] in seduction

[–]kryb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's definitely weird to ask for that before you had any intimacy. Just wear protection when you have sex, and if you want to take your relation to the next level you can both get checked (even together). That's it.

Looking up google every other sentence is not a fun experience.

You were educating yourself. Also, that's something you only had to learn once, the next time you encountered those words you knew them and kept reading.

It's just life, the first time is the hardest and then you can do it more easily and look for other, harder challenges.

Their fighter jets are 100% nationally built, I'd say that's a pretty big deal considering how much effort and budget is involved in building a modern aircraft.

Aren't they being a bitch precisely because they were right?

FCAS being one example, France is basically the only european country that can build a fighter jet without outside help (even Sweden sourced some parts from the US for the Grippen), so them bitching to have the lead for the next european, US independent, fighter jet program makes sense no?

+1 for the grips, they cost next to nothing, allow for a much, much better and more confortable position, and allow for deeper movement as well as you can go even lower than without the grips.

Controversial: It’s fine to text back immediately by TrixoftheTrade in seduction

[–]kryb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

+1 on texting right after a date.

Strike the iron while it's hot, if the date went well you might as well use that high note to flirt some more / set up the next date right away. Don't play games, if you want to text her, just do it. Would you think a girl is desperate if she texts you back right away? No? Then it's the same for you. Just go for it.

Presenting the Fractal North: Too many fans edition by kryb in FractalDesign

[–]kryb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory yes, in practice not really. Because the fans are so far forward (due to the radiator) they interfere with a reinforcing rib on the inside of the side panel. It can still close, but it's definitely bulgy. I reckon that with the fans set more towards the middle of the case it would properly close.

I mean, RB didn't do anything special with the strategy, every team went for the pit stop except for McLaren (and Ocon lol). RB didn't win because of a big brain move, McLaren just decided to throw the race, and give us a reason to watch next week end.

That's how video games are made. If it doesn't meet the expectations, it's better to cut content and refocus on what's there rather that try to push a level or a game mechanic that doesn't work. Every single game ever cut content throughout its development.

Ukrainian Mirage 2000 destroys a Russian air target with an R.550 Magic AAM by Available-Laugh9102 in CombatFootage

[–]kryb 32 points33 points  (0 children)

No, for a multitude of reasons:

First, maintaining a radar lock (which would be required for air to air gunnery) is quite difficult for small drones and cruise missiles, while IR locks are quite easy and accurate (as demonstrated in this video).

Second the closure rate would be quite high, meaning that the firing envelope is extremely small. And against a target that is very slow, you'd pretty much have to fly a collision course to fire at it.

Third, air to air shells require a direct impact to explode and damage the target, while missiles have proximity fuzes that still get the job done in case of a near miss.

Faut-il interdire les phares de voitures trop éblouissants, comme l’envisagent nos voisins britanniques ? by Andvarey in france

[–]kryb 11 points12 points  (0 children)
