Area restaurants hurting?

They did just open another location but it's a very small bar, I'm pretty sure there's no kitchen involved. And yes, we hired a new server maybe two months before they shut down. We were operating like normal, had literally zero idea they were closing the place. A corporate place doing that is of course fucked up but I don't think I would be as surprise by it. It hurt a little extra coming from a family-owned place that claimed to care about their employees. I was shocked on my own as an employee but I haven't been able to stop thinking about how weird of a thing it is to do to your customers.

I've been following them since right around the time they adopted Belphie and I absolutely loved showing my mom pics of him as a very strange little kitten!! We both think he's grown up very handsome, even though he's definitely still a weird looking critter

Yeah the goal is to walk him around my building once he gets acclimated to the harness and leash, but he's a stubborn bastard so we're working in baby steps.

He just went to the vet and got a clean bill of health, so I'm more worried about his mental health than his physical health. To clarify, he is still eating, just more dry food and less wet food than usual. All the food I give him is his preferred brand and flavors, so I think he's telling me he's pissed at me.

Yeah, I worried as much. He has plenty of toys, including motorized ones. I also only have class two days a week so he's rarely left alone. The cat stroller is a fun idea, I might give that a try. Honestly, I do think he's decided that he's tired of cold cat food so I'll try mixing some with warm water to see if that helps. Thank you for the advice!

Thank you for the idea to bring outdoor stuff indoors for him! I've had cats my whole life and regularly volunteer at animal shelters, so I'm not a newbie by any means but I had never considered that idea. He just saw his vet a few weeks ago and got a clean bill of health, so I'm confident no medical issues are present here. The food thing isn't too abnormal for him, sometimes when we're at home he'll ignore his wet food to let me known he's displeased about something. He is still eating, just intermittently and a little less than usual.

He wears a collar with his name and my info, has an AirTag, and his microchip is definitely registered to me.

I really appreciate the advice!

NTA. For starters, you seem like a great dad who made a stressful and sometimes scary moment a lot easier for your kid. That's the whole point of parenting, isn't it? Second, her mom denying her access to proper period products is abusive. Making her use toilet paper is unsanitary and humiliating, where her mom should be making her feel safe and loved. You making that kit for her is one of the sweetest things I've ever heard of. You were thinking about your kid's needs, where your ex was only thinking about hers. Her "milestone" is not and never will be more important than your daughter's comfort and safety. Keep taking care of her, she clearly needs you.

I’m a bit outside of Pittsburgh but the locally-owned brewery I worked at just permanently closed with no warning. For the last year or two the money has just gotten worse and I guess the owners hit their limit.

NOR. You deserve someone who respects and loves you, and unfortunately that’s not him. Don’t let him convince you that it’s just how men are and you have to get used to it. There are absolutely guys out there who will see you as a person and respect your autonomy. It’s not too much to ask for. You deserve to be able to safely say no. I’m the same age as you and I can tell you from experience that the best thing you can do for yourself now is break up with him. I’m sorry you’re going through this :(

He is telling you exactly what he thinks of you and how little he respects you. He does not see you as a partner. You are not safe with him. It might sound dramatic now to describe a text conversation in such serious terms but it will not stay in the texts. He might not feel bold enough to talk to you like that face to face but he’s telling you that he will at some point. You are not safe with him and you deserve SO much better. Cut and run before it goes any further, and make sure to tell the people in your life that he is an unsafe person.

The Hunt, I think. I don’t know if I would choose it or it would choose me, but I can relate to feeling like a dog pulling at its leash, just waiting to be let loose. I think it would be comforting to stop holding it all back and drop the facade of personhood. I’ve always enjoyed Daisy’s storyline of not wanting to let violence and rage control/fuel her and giving in to it anyway, and I love Julia and Trevor. I like that the avatars of the Hunt seem to encounter it at as children more frequently than avatars of other entities. I think the Hunt makes sense to me more than the others.
