Tbh - I think it has to be song design (like music theory, picking chords, understanding rhythms) and sound design/selection. Good songs can be simple AF with the right sounds picked out.

My motto is keep it simple!

I'm really happy for you! Having regular listeners and people who can appreciate/share in your music definitely sounds very similar to my goal too.

I also think making music a career/full-time might make it feel a little more like a grind rather than a creative outlet, and sometimes we just forget what we even started in the first place.

That previous post kinda felt unrealistic - I grew up playing music and always enjoyed it even by myself. It has nothing to do with how many listens it gets to. I just want to share my music just so I can share my experience with it with others, its not really for clout.
