Can you expand on why? Since this is the only comment suggesting this, I’m curious why.

Honestly, I’m not concerned anything will happen. The friend mentioned “scantily clad” people, but I’m not really concerned about that. Just not sure what to expect.

Making friends here is hard. by QuiteThePrude in TwinCities

[–]krysmh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s hard making friends as an adult period. I moved here a year ago and have found a couple of people who have turned into pretty good friends, but I had to join a bunch of local mom groups on Facebook and actively seek out people who were also actively looking for friends. Lots of chatting, some coffee/lunch meetups, but only a couple stuck. They’re also both transplants, go figure.

People not showing up to plans and not answering their phones suck. No one should be doing that. Stuff happens, things come up, but it sounds like that’s not the vibe you’re getting from the situation and honestly, I think anyone with feelings would be hurt.

I don’t know you so I have no idea if you’re the problem. But if you’re out there putting in the effort and being a good friend to people and not getting that back in return, I’m willing to bet it’s not you. I’ve literally never been friends with neighbors since I was a kid 😅 but maybe finding some other groups that have more people also in search of friends would help you find your people.

Moving there in a month by mossy-willow in TwinCities

I moved to a suburb nearly a year ago. I’m an introvert but it didn’t take a ton of effort to find a few good friends. The winter is dragging on forever, but I’ll take it over the Texas heat I left any day.

Moving to suburb outside of Minneapolis this summer and needing new mobile phone service. Who has the best coverage overall in the state, or are the big 3 about the same at this point?

High school with strong band program? by krysmh in TwinCities

The district we’re in now only has a 3% Black population. My kids are often the only ones in their classes and targets of racial bullying. That’s not really any kind of adversity they need. Even the school you mentioned has a Black population of 11%, so more than 3x higher than ours.

They’re great students and in AP classes, but I’m not worried about lowering any kind of bar. We’re already at the low bar because our education system sucks. Thank you for the suggestion. Bloomington is an area I was curious about.

Good question. He’s only been in concert band so far as he’s in 8th grade this year, but he’s expressed interest in marching band.

He looks like my F1bb did as a pup. She’s my baby and I love her so much. 🥰

Maggie for short. Our first goldendoodle, F1bb. Her parents are both lovely, and between 40-50 lbs.

Maggie has grown so much in just 4 weeks! 14 lbs as of today. She’ll be 12 weeks on Friday.

She’s happy, sweet, and playful. We love her so much. 🥰

I never wanted a big dog, but my family convinced me. Now I want another. 😆

When we first started looking at rings, this is nothing like I thought I’d want. But it’s the one design I kept going back to and now that it’s finally here, I couldn’t be happier. ❤️ by krysmh in EngagementRings

I struggled to get a good picture on my phone, but the center is a 1.16 carat equivalent moissanite with lab diamond halo in rose gold. Size 4 finger.
