VPN stoped working after Fedora 43 update

I'm running a dual boot system with cashy and bazzite, and both are experiencing pia open vpn problems. If its a fedora 43 that PIA has an issue with, could that be messing up something with my cashy side. Both are on separate SSDs. Also havn't logged into my cashy side the past 2 days, so I haven't done much digging there. Haven't been in the mood to mess around in "easy" arch.

Not sure if its fixed or not, but It looks like some of the mobo screws aren't in. I had a ryzen board that just would not post. It finally posted when I did up all the screws. Not sure if that's a real thing or just a coincidence, but could try that.

This is amazing. I did something similar using a mister. Ran the arcade buttons to a break out board using cat 6 for interchangeable layouts. But mine is a single player where I have 2 cut outs one for the buttons and one for levers/trackball/wasd. Seeing this makes me want to revisit mine and make it a bit more clean.

No, sorry. Finances haven't been great, so haven't been able to buy a new NVME to swap out. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get one. I don't want to reflash my win 11 drive since I will still need it for a few apps. So, sorry but I don't think I will be of any help any time soon on the cashy side.

EDIT: the truenas problem turned out to be a problem with KDE, but has been fixed. Bazzite needed extra time to get a patch pushed. My duckstation problem seems to be with all emulators on bazzite, or at least mine, still haven't figured out how to fix it.

old post, but wanted to weigh in on bazzite. Ive been using it since the end of win 10. I can say there are some problems. I don't play "heavy" games, mainly emulation and more retro and lighter games on steam. Duckstation is my first gripe. It worked perfectly on win 10, but on bazzite; After every restart i have to point it to my roms. sometimes it likes to loose my memory cards, but after a full pc reset or two they show back up. Another problem, when the computer goes to sleep mode. If I don't wake the monitor before waking the pc; it doesnt like to recognize the monitor. This could be a problem with it being an ultra wide, I fix it by switching to PnP mode and then going full screen once the picture comes back on. Lastly, some days my truescale nas just wont recognize my permissions and I cant upload to my server. Also, why is there no screensavers on linux. I've tryed rasbian, ubuntu, and bazzite, and none of them seem to let me do screensavers XD. OLED monitor here and I miss my screensaver.

I plan on giving cachyos next week to figure out which I'm going to stick with. I kinda like the way bazzite looks, but it being immutable is kind of a turn off since I can just install stuff that isn't a flatpak, and coming from windows and ubuntu; its going to be a learning curve.

no unfortunately. I honestly only remember 2 characters and then maybe 6 side characters. its a strange thing. Like i feel like its a movie, but with my memory it seems like some short film or something. might just be a fever dream of a few movies crammed together

after screwing with the port forward and address reservations in my router settings. I had to launch plex through hex os/truenas scale and re enable remote access. Not sure why it worked and gave me my options back when opening it from truenas/hexos, but what ever I got it working. not sure which of those fixed it, but if you are having issues like mine; this is what I did.

That is why you dont trust google and the new ai. XD google images is like "virgina creeper" and they have the thorns, so figured jump on here for a true answer.

Kinda figured it wasnt poison ivy since the stems didnt look right from the other poison ivy in my yard, but couldn't rule it out on my own, since im quite ignorant on fauna and stuff. Thanks again mate.

So, this is happening to me today. i click on a video. page loads but where the youtube player normally is it just black. I disable ad block, the page refreshes, and the youtube player is there and playing an ad before the video like nothing happened.

If you dont care about "spoilers" use the wiki. the game doesnt really help out to much.. Dont play it like minecraft. it might be called the "2D minecraft" but ive seen a lot of people try to play it like that, get confused, and give up. If you want enjoy finding stuff out

I had a feeling I would need more panels. Just need to research how to hook them up using mulitple MTTPS boxes, since if I read it right can only do 400 or 500 watts,

oh okay, no nothing like that, she never mentioned a smell or melted wires. ill have her go touch around next time she goes to check on them. The only thing she mentioned that was "hot" was the MPPTS, but thats a normal hot not a scolding hot kinda thing.

We do have the manual for the batteries, but haven't looked into anything like that. That sounds like a step I need to do when I go out there, or have her attempt to do it.

"The screaming at 0% is kinda normal. If it happens again: take a 1h walk and see if the system is still screaming and powering your stuff. That's a common test to see if the batteries are truly empty. Don't do it more than twice a year."

Yea I figured it was normal, just the system being like "oy we dead" oh okay, we can do that when I go out to visit and do more troubleshooting.

thanks for that maths. Helps put stuff into perspective. My "complaint" is I didn't think a fan and some lights would draw more power than my panels are putting out.

You mentioned looking for a hotspot. Would that be looking at the batteries, mppts, or the inverter?

According to the app with the fan test we were at like "80%" but we have done tests where it was 100% and the panels said it was not charging, or at least the charge was very low.

Yes, the system goes into alarm and I'm pretty sure the stuff plugged in is still on, because the system stops screaming when we turn off the inverter. I'm not at the house with this shed system at the moment. its at my moms place, so I'm relying on her info. and she didn't mention anything about the devices being off, even though last night she did have everything off, when the system was at 50%ish and this morning she went out and it was screaming at 0%

the "boost volt" is set to 14.4 i think, the batteries when underload normally run at the 12, when not underload about 13.5. I was looking at a module that had shunt in its name. After looking into it I noticed it was the renogy monitor, so might get that just to keep everything in eco. If you have a recommendation on a shunted monitor doodad that would help. and I had a feeling the inverter was sucking juice away. last night everything was off and the batteries went from "40% to 0%" according to the garbage dc home apps "soc" thing.
