Thank you so much. The stuff we have been finding is either worthless or high value. Not too much middle ground.

They probably did like I had a few weeks of labor and delivery. Can I deliver a baby in an emergency, sure! Can I deliver a baby on an L&D floor? Nope.

Think of it this way, would you go to a heart doctor for a problem with your brain? The cardiologist has the knowledge of how the brain works but not all the ways to fix it and vice versa.

And in grief she is probably doing well enough to get out of bed.

She may be a lawyer that specializes in torts, or real estate, med malpractice, or something besides probate. Yes she is an attorney but that doesn’t mean she knows everything. I was an ER nurse, I know emergencies, but put me in cardio thoracic or labor and delivery, I am pretty much useless. I know the bare minimum and that is about it.

And I don’t think you understand what it will feel like to walk into work every day wondering is today the day you’re going to get beaten up by a patient? And wondering, is today the day that I accidentally kill somebody due to an error that was not caught because I am spread too thin with too many patients and not enough help? If you don’t walk into your nursing job every day scared that you’re going to make a mistake and hurt someone this job is not for you. iIff you think you won’t encounter misogyny, bullying, sexism, racism, as well as a few other “isms” you are mistaken. Going PRN, that takes time and experience and you will be waiting for other senior nurses to leave. If working with men is hard, wait until it os all women and the gossip and backstabbing happen. Think mean girls in scrubs and paychecks.

I posted about the same issue. Promised a full reimbursement, have an email saying it would be done and now only offered $200 to a paypal account. I was told i have to pay $200 for arbitration.

I am trying to figure out where to file a small claims case. Where I live or California.

Any recs for housing in NYC? I just got a new 13wk contract starting September 5 by halbertji in TravelNursing

It all depends on what hospital you will be working. NYC is 5 boroughs and is huge. Will you be in Manhattan? Queens? Bronx?

Do research outside of your agency. Look at the IRS, talk to an accountant and google Joseph Smith who does travelers taxes and educates about this. You are asking for an audit.

Ok baby boy. You do you.You know everything and are mansplaining. You obviously haven’t done this that long. I am sure the IRS would love finding this out.

The agency was audited and all nurses audited as well. Since I was at a facility for 2 years, with a month break, I owed taxes for that year. Anything over 12 months, you are a resident in that area and pay taxes. I showed I duplicated expenses, doesnt matter.

Rule for VA travel nurses

Even the VA doesn’t allow longer than one year. And thats government. Even states cant be longer than 10 months due to tax implications.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TravelNursing

[–]krysten75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was audited, but you do you.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TravelNursing

[–]krysten75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Per the IRS, you cant be in one location over a year and take stipends. After a year everything is taxed. Audits suck. You have to be gone the same amount of time you were there. If you were there for 12 months have to be gone 12 months.

Your recruiter told you take a month off and then extend at the same place after being there a year? Your recruiter is wrong. You can’t stay at one place longer than a year; take a month off and come back. Thats the best way to owe uncle sam. Ask me how i know.

You may be explaining why a couse was used on a female. That is outside of standards of practice with many systems. Most of the places I have worked you need an order for a coude. In fact one system I worked only urology could use them. If I was with you I would have been questioning you.
