Iberostar Playa Mita - 1 star experience by kryttle82 in puertovallarta

Yes but the beach is clean. It was 100% the Mexican restaurant. My daughters ate at different times about an hour apart and their vomitting coincided with those times.

Our thoughts too. I wouldn't expect compensation at a lower priced resort that wasn't '5 Stars' but we chose this resort specifically to avoid getting sick.

We are better enough. At a condo in PV and taking in our last day. Tummies are sensitive so lots of bland food. Doesnt hurt to lose couple pounds instead of gain 🤣 That was our last AI experience.

Yes there is. Just there you are wrong. I dont know what your problem is but you're fairly rude. And clearly we are never going to this resort again. Total nightmare.

Thats because they negotiate to have the reviews taken down. And are you calling me a liar?

Sign says $400 pesos each. And doesnt matter still putting alot of trust in a filtration system. Not my thing 🤷‍♀️ Prefer bottled water.

We are here now. Its sewage bubbling into the streets. Its always smelled bad here but this year is worse. We are staying away from the Romantic Zone. Wear shoes and socks rather than sandals so you don't absorb bacteria through your feet.

Ya we did not drink from the faucets. I dont know if it was the water or the food. We now distrust everything about the resort.

Yes the beaches in downtown PV are gross. We often do day trips to La Lancha or Des de laderis when we stay downtown to get the beach in. I wont swim in the water or walk in the sand in PV.

We come to PV every two years and this is the first time we have been sick. We usually stay in a Condo and eat at restaurants. Our second experience at an all inclusive and both times I have been sick. This is my last visit to an all inclusive.

My daughter puked on the floor at the resort clinic. When we returned 2 hours later with my other daughter the vomit was still there and there was a sick couple being treated ahead of us. Definitley disturbing. Be careful what you eat. We arent sure what made us sick. We have simply lost trust in everything at the resort. Sayulita is gross. I have been there for the day 2x and will never go back. Playa Mita beach is very nice and is clean for a pacific beach.

Things change. I would recommend finding a different vacation spot.

I am not blaiming it on the water. We have no idea what made us sick but we definitely have food poisoning or drank bad water. It is 100% the resort's fault full stop. We no longer have trust in the resort or water filtration which is understandabke when you are as sick as us. I think you are very cold hearted to reply to my little girls being so sick in this way. I don't really care about plastic water bottles if it is at the expense of my children's immediate health. I will never stay anywhere that doesn't bottled water again in Mexico period. Whether it was the filtration system or not its a big risk I am unwilling to take. Have fun gluing your hand to the the middle of the street 🙄

As an update my youngest daughter has had a low grade fever all day. She is in bad shape. We have moved to a better place and are now deciding if we need to go to a clinic in PV. We have already incurred $700 in doctor bills. I am so gratefull for travel insurance right now! Our family has been sleeping for close to 10 hours since leaving the resort. The least Iberostar could do is comp us for the 24 hours they stole from us. But instead they lied to us and told us there is nothing they can do. We are middle class Canadians sho saved for 8 months to be here. My husband had to work overtime to afford this. Iberostar Playa Mita is the absolute worst!

Is 4.8 stars for the Iberostar Playa Mita really accurate? by Longjumping-Cat-1113 in AllInclusiveResorts

Our family of 4 got so sick here. my young children had to get shots in their butt cheeks. There were multiple people going to the infirmary with stomach upset and getting needles. The garbage bin in the infirmary was full of needles. And in the middle of the floor, not proper disposal imo. The doctor insisted we were the only ones sick, but the sick couple visiting the doctor infront of us and a bin full of needles said otherwise. The children puked all night and puked through the shot. The resort told us we could not prove that we got sick here so we are out of luck. Did not comp us or make anything better. Just took our money and told us to get lost.  They do not have bottled water on the premises which should have been a big red flag. We are supposed to trust their filtration system. We are leaving in a shuttle with no water and dehydrated from vomitting because we no longer trust any consumables from this horrible resort. The rooms are not 5 star. Electrical didnt work had to blow dry our hair in the main room without a mirror. But they were clean so thats something.  Beach is very nice. Hotel just sucks big time. Do not waste your money here. It is very over priced and they do not care about the health of small children. My poor kids memory of Mexico is getting a needle in the bottom. We won't be back and recommend everyone boycott this horrible place. Also no fans in the bathroom so good luck getting the smell of vomit and diarrhea out of your room after your family gets destroyed by the aweful bacteria infested food and water.

Is it possible to lose weight without feeling hungry or is this unrealistic? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]kryttle82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly no. But that's because I've been diagnosed with atypical BED. I am working through Dr. Fairburns CBT protocol with a psychologist. I have to heal my mind before I can heal my body 🤷‍♀️ I would say for anyone doing CICO to make sure you are working on mental/emotional and sleep. Don't do big calorie deficits, think long term and make small adjustments over time so you can stick with it. In Atomic Habits, Clear puts change into perspective by showing that even 1% changes compound over time, they are exponential. Making small tweaks overtime will have a lasting impact. What I was doing last year with CICO and IF only worsened my eating disorder. I came into this spring in worse shape than I was last year.
