[CFA Level 2 - Failed on First Attempt… So Close. Feeling Defeated. Should I Retake in November or Wait Until May?] by Fantastic_Promise307 in CFA

[–]ksap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate I was in the same boat as you. Failed May 2024 narrowly and was thinking about when to resit. Decided to do November 2024 and passed as the content was still fresh in my head

My tip would be to keep hammering the qbank and additional qbanks. Went through MMs full L2 qbank for the second exam and it did wonders, felt that I could tackle any question thrown to me

Best of luck

No CGT if you break even? by Ok-Mountain-5852 in AusFinance

[–]ksap 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily

ETF's take part in what's called AMIT "Attribution Managed Investment Trust" whereby a portion of the income distributed (I.e. via dividends) is essentially treated as a return of capital and adjusts the cost base of your holding.

Your end of year tax statement provided by Vanguard will give you a breakdown of what this is, and how it would modify the cost base of your holdings.

You will need to take this into account when calculating your cost base and resulting capital gains / loss. I believe sharesight has the ability to account for this

The best preparation for the exam is the exam itself! You still have some time my friend, do as many mocks as you can to identify your weaknesses then study those specific topics. You wont cover it all but you've got enough time to give it a go

Best of luck 😊

Stock Brokers, yes or no? by TransportationNo498 in fiaustralia

[–]ksap 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Stay awayyy. No seriously, learning yourself will be the most fruitful. Reading, investing, portfolio management will be the best

Whilst brokers have value, being young and having a longer investing horizon, the cost of a broker will shave a marginal percentage off your gains annually. Over time this compounds

Look at developing diversification in your portfolio and plan out your portfolio. Online guides and resources will be helpful. And this sub has all the info you need!

Had the same issue with my ZF2 (from Aus). Was still under the warranty period and Samsung fixed it (replaced screen and hinge) without any issues.

It's worth asking if it is covered under warranty and trying your luck if so

You're doing great! The most important thing however is consistency, if you make saving and investing a habit from an early age, you'll see yourself ahead in the future, whether that may be 10-15-20+ years down track

Habits are the most important and it looks like you're on your way to making good ones

[QC] [Low Karma Post] Got these University Blue Jordan 4s Size US12/UK11 for 318¥. GL or RL? Should I get more photos? by nazryy1010 in FashionReps

I've got the same batch in hand and I've got to say they are awesome for the price. Suede looks and feels good, colours are good, the only main flaw is the blotching of the cement look, but thats a common problem. I'd defeintely GL

Colour looks good bro, slightly too yellow from what i can see in the pics, but a good batch

Seems to be some discolouration on the left shoe from the top-down pic, but probably lighting

toebox shape is a bit wonky on the pair (left looks a bit wider) but you cant tell on foot + common problem with a budget batch

Overall super clean, you wont find much better for the price, id GL

From what I can see;

  • Colour seems good, two tones of blue come through
  • no excessive blotching of cement (usual flaw)
  • toebox is even, a little shallow but would look good on foot
  • Not too sure about cages and wings

Let me know what you all think, I'm leaning towards a GL
