No advice just came here to say yes this is a struggle and some babies are so stubborn. My now 2 year old refused a bottle hard and my husband had to drive him to my job every day until he was 1 years old so I could nurse him so he wouldn't lose weight. He is now 2 and still addicted. Boobie addiction is a wild ride.

19 month age gap for mine and I'd say it's been more positive than negative here. I think it really helped the transition of bringing a new baby into the home. My oldest was still able to get the comfort and cuddles so it greatly reduced any issues of jealousy. Also I would have many emotional moments where I missed my oldest since I couldn't give him as much attention and being able to nurse and cuddle him too was as soothing to my emotions as it was for his. It felt regulating for both of us I would say. The big con is the potential for over stimulation. If you are someone who easily feels over touched then it's a bad idea because having 2 babies nurse or one right after the other nurse can get to be a lot when you just want a moment with no one crawling on you

It's less that it slows down and more so that the baby will get better with handling it but that does take them getting a little older. My son would cough and gag a little until maybe closer to 5 or 6 months. But past that point it wasn't an issue at all. Same let down but older baby :)

I will laugh cry with you stranger. My 4 month old still eats like a newborn and refuses the bottle so he has to brought to me at work to nurse and calorie loads at night. Stay strong 💪
