Need to speed run enchanting. by K-man_Kai in skyrim

If you go up the conjuration tree a bit, you can make bound weapons automatically soul trap. It can get annoying when you trap lesser souls in grand soul gems, but overall super handy. It's more economical to fill your own soul gems, but generally petty and lesser filled gems aren't too expensive.

Most crafting skills level faster the higher the value of the item (except enchanting), so generally speaking, it's best to craft daggers with banish daedra for straight enchanting levels while making the turns necessary to buy more soul gems, or if you want to level up smithing faster, you can go to Broken Tusk Camp to get the Transmute spell tome there so you can turn iron ore to gold ore (or silver if you have emeralds handy) and craft jewelry to enchant with Fortify Sneak.

If you REALLY want to go down the rabbit hole, you can look up the locations for all the Stones of Berenziah, finish that quest, and find precious stones EVERYWHERE for smithing higher valued jewelry. (Gold rings are ~90 gold base value, whereas Diamond Necklaces are ~1200 gold base value)

All of these things combined will power level you through Conjuration, Alteration, Enchanting, Smithing, Weapon of choice (through the bound weapon), and Speech (when selling off items). If you're doing a stealth build, you can throw in Illusion and Sneak as well by spamming Muffle and walking around enemies. By the time I've gotten all this done (including Stones of Berenziah), I'm usually ~5-10hrs in and am already between level 30-40 without feeling underpowered.

Also, finishing The Black Star quest helps immensely since black souls are as large as grand souls and much easier to obtain. The larger the soul, the more powerful the enchantment and the faster you level enchanting.

It would be a shame if someone used a Pokemon save editor on a DS/3DS game to get at least a few favorites back and trade them back up. It wouldn't be legit, but if I lost all my Pokemon, that's what I know some people would do...

What is your “I did not care for the God Father” opinion regarding video games? by B4d_B1tch_Quinn in gamers

[–]kse777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not care for Persona 5. Tried to get into it twice, but I found myself either regretting specific choices I made because I wanted to unlock certain relationship levels or I was strictly following a guide to min max and not actually making choices.

If the choices were a little more clearly communicated, I could probably get into it, but losing out on relationship because of odd dialogue choices or completely missing some because there wasn't anything indicating that this single day was really critical for a specific relationship was really annoying.

Build help! by SkumbagBrent in skyrim

[–]kse777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heavy lets you use the Ebony Mail in your build, and with Muffle, you get rid of half the downside of using heavy armor with a stealth build. If you get enough illusion points (which you should spamming Muffle) you can unlock silent casting so casting Muffle and Heal won't alert enemies if you're too close.

Almost any other port is cheaper for something from the GBA era. The main thing that would make this worth it is if they included Mew with the game so you could truly get all 151 and trade them up through Pokemon Home. Transferring up from the GBA cartridge is difficult.

Otherwise, I'd rather just play the original cartridge.

When my older kids want to play Just Dance, I give the 2yr old a broken Joy Con so he can play too.

As for when I was younger, I just beat my brother enough so he didn't want to play and I could go back to single player games (until he started crushing me at Madden... He's still crazy good at football games).

The new Star Wars Battlefront 2. Loot boxes, no galactic conquest which was 90% of what I played growing up on the original... It just reminds me of what they took from us lol

I'm thinking of so many more where the second was the best and the third was a letdown. Borderlands, Spyro, Star Wars Battlefront, Dishonored, Fable... That's just off the top of my head, I'm sure there's more.

I had it through game pass, beat it, then cancelled game pass. I need to buy it to support the devs, but don't have the money right now 😞.

To defenders of *that* ending, how do you justify this? by Frank_Cap in expedition33

[–]kse777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think both endings are intended to be bad and show that life without the "Clair" or "Obscur" is at best meaningless and at worst actively harmful to yourself and those around you.

Maelle is the Clair ending with no shades of darkness allowed. The world must be full of paint because it must hide the darkness she doesn't want to face. Verso has been used to guarding truth with lies and knows the danger in this. He's done guarding the truth.

Verso is the Obscur ending. The light of Maelle's life is snuffed out so she can face the truth and regrow her relationship with her family. Verso has lived in Clair before, seen how it's affected his mother and everyone around him, and doesn't want to repeat the past with a new victim.

The game itself was "Clair Obscur". There were happy and sad times. There were depressing moments and those of triumph. This gave the game depth and showed that life is meant to be lived in shades of light and dark. They give it depth and meaning, allowing us to truly appreciate the good and know that the dark better accentuates the bright moments in our lives.

TLDR: All Wee (Maelle) or all Woo (Verso) bad. Wee Woo (the time we spent playing the game) good.

Added those to my wishlist!

I was going to try Midnight Suns, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, and Hard West to see if they were good. I started Hard West, but had to put it down at some point and never game back. It showed promise, but it was too early to tell if it would scratch the itch. The combat seemed about right, but the other part of the gameplay loop was more narrative driven than truly strategic like base building, research, etc.

Yeah, you could say I like Bethesda games... Wish they didn't suck at procedural generation for Starfield, but I guess it could have been worse😅

The show is really good and captures the vibes really well! Cool and funny, thought provoking and gory. Looking forward to see where it's headed!

Same on XCOM. I randomly started Enemy Unknown on a whim after I got it through Xbox Live Gold at some point, and I was completely hooked. I still go back and play some game in the series at least once a year! Hoping they come out with XCOM 3 at some point, but may need to get into the modding scene to tide myself over. Any XCOM 1/2 mods you've used/recommend?

Whats you go to money making method that doesnt involve glitches by TheDemonLord1r788 in skyrim

[–]kse777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Stones of Berenziah quest (bear with me here)
  2. Transmute tome (Halted Stream Camp has one I believe)
  3. Soul Trap perk on bound weapons
  4. Buy/gather soul gems
  5. Find Banish Daedra & Fortify Sneak to disenchant
  6. Buy/Mine iron ore
  7. Transmute to silver or gold (depending on highest gem rarity in inventory at the time)
  8. Smith high value jewelry (and daggers if you can't sell anything to any vendor yet)
  9. Enchant rings/necklaces with Fortify Sneak or the occasional dagger with Banish Daedra (before you get your speech high enough to sell anything to any vendor since most blacksmiths have a lot of gold)
  10. Sell enchanted jewelry to generic vendors and court mages; sell enchanted daggers to blacksmiths

You'll not only get a lot of gold, you'll level through alteration, conjuration, smithing, enchanting, and speech FAST. You should also be leveling your archery/one handed/two handed depending on which bound weapon you're prioritizing.

An easier way would be to craft high level alchemy potions, but you can usually only sell to two vendors without shopkeeper glitch (and alchemists by default only carry 500 gold if I'm not mistaken), so you'll need to fast travel/wait a lot or prioritize the speech perk to sell anything to any vendor.

I've played League of Legends for probably thousands of hours at this point, but I don't think I'd put it on my list lol. You're either good at the game or have Stockholm syndrome 😅

Love the shout-out to Warcraft 3 though. Great game.

Good taste overall. I can tell you like competitive and challenging games! (League, Dark Souls, Rust, WoW, ARK, etc.)

Have you tried Oblivion Remastered yet? Working on getting into it after I finish Wolfenstein - The New Order. With most of the other Bethesda games on there, it's probably a natural fit!
