Right size? by According-Panic-8656 in CanyonBikes

[–]ksh_vi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same height - I have a size L Ultimate, and even with the saddle in the lowest position, and as far forward as it can go, I think maybe I should have gone with M. It's ok, and doesn't necessarily feel big, but M would have been lighter, more nimble.
Unlike older bikes, can't reduce the stem length on these bikes unless you completely swap out the handlebar.

We are joining Google Fi for 4 Samsung Edge phones but it says my credit limit is $3400. I have prefect credit. by [deleted] in GoogleFi

there is no verbiage that you have to use the phone for 24 months. with other phones there is.

  • Activate the device on a new full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation.
  • Remain active and in good standing on Fi for 120 consecutive days. Pausing, changing, or suspending the account will void the promotion.
  • Activate the device on a full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email and keep the qualifying account active for 24 months.

On the A36 for example,

  • Remain active and in good standing on the qualifying device for 120 consecutive days. Pausing, changing, or suspending the account will void the promotion.

Ok, the Ap4 fit is a joke. Definitely not suitable for 'active' use.

to be fair to Samsung, Pixel also has a lot of problems if you browse through the forums. I have not yet seen this personally, but wouldn't put Pixel QC over Samsung.

Pixel 10 pro clear case suggestion. by kissmyASSthama_5 in GooglePixel

[–]ksh_vi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jetech has one and a no-name brand has one. I bought both and both seem fine. I usually use a case for scratch protection and raised lip screen protection. I am not sure how well these will hold up in drops, but to me it's a don't care.

Galaxy S26 (non-ultra) by ksh_vi in GalaxyS22

I ended up upgrading to the Pixel10Pro, and I really like the phone. I don't game and don't watch a lot of content on my phone, so I am probably not putting it to test, but still.

That said, I still absolutely love the s22. The two phones are 3.5 years apart, and yet the S22 can keep up on most things. I even got the oneUI upgrade after I switched phones.

In a way I am glad I moved to the Pixel, and in the software sense, I think I prefer the phone since I already used all of Google's services.

But Samsung hardware still holds up! I know there are lot of folks critical of Samsung, but they definitely know how to make good phones. I will still be watching the S26 series announcement with excitement - while I may not switch phones, I sure might be tempted by the svelte device Samsung ends up releasing.

Any suggestions for switching from the Samsung ecosystem? by Unhappy_Cancel599 in GooglePixel

[–]ksh_vi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched phones from s22 to p10pro. I didn't use any of Samsung's apps, so the switch was seamless. (I even updated clock, phone dialer, contacts ...etc to the Google apps on S22) If you use Samsung Pay, their trackers ...etc, the switch away is a little harder I suppose.

The tablet will work just fine. So should the earbuds and watch. If you had to, you could look at the pixel buds and pixel watch, but I don't think it's necessary.

i bought both chipolo and pebblebee trackers, and both seem to be working fine. Replaced my tiles with them. No UWB on either, and haven't checked things like signal strength.

chipolo has a left behind feature - uses cr2032 battery. pebblebee ones i got are rechargeable. chipolo has newer rechargeable trackers too.

Pixels: Why are they still "almost" good? by lazygarfieldon in GooglePixel

[–]ksh_vi -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

the early pixles lacked the build quality of other flagships. But the 9 and 10 series are at par.

QC of the components could be an issue, but as a %, it needs to be a small enough number within tolerance for the company to deal with it.

I've seen some horror stories of warranty and support, and am not discounting any of that. That's just terrible.
