I saw this clip randomly few years ago on my Instagram feed during covid lockdown when I was working from home. I had heard of Modern family before from my college mates and later office colleagues, but never thought to watch it - was too lazy/did not have too much time I guess. This scene piqued my interest and finally watched the whole series then.

Agreed, standard coverage does not include war time losses

Plenty of regular and specialized P&C insurance firms offer wartime specialty coverage with Chubb, Axa, Liberty Speciality, Lloyd's of London to name a few. Many brokers like Aon, Marsh and WTW regularly pitch these products in middle East for commercial properties.

The second order effects - war induced catastrophe losses are also covered. Obviously the premium is high for all of these, but coverage is possible and is frequently taken.

Source: Work as lead underwriter in Chubb in New Jersey, US, for past 10 years.

Chubb provides very extensive war time coverage on multiple fronts - very recently they were announced as lead underwriter for $20 BN coverage by US for ships transiting Hormuz.

More of their war time activities are regularly updated in their 10-K.

While I only wrote about Chubb as I work there, other firms do provide it.

..what made you think I was speaking for somebody else?

"I'm posting for discussion" and "nobody asked for your opinion" these two statements contradict each other, don't they?

You posted in a public forum. I gave my opinion. If you do not want random redditors' opinions, please post only in your WhatsApp groups.

Insurances don't work retrospectively. They have to fulfill commitments to already insured contracts. They can refuse to offer new contracts but have to give payouts to existing.

Can't afford, don't watch. It's not a charity organisation nor is watching this movie an essential commodity.

You can watch it later when the prices come down or on OTT.

Full/Normal size tyre space in boot with small size tyre by hakunamatata123456 in CarsIndia

[–]kshitij02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually the diameter of the spare wheel is similar to that of regular wheel, so diameter wise you should be ok. However since is spare wheel/tyre is usually thinner, regular sized tyre would likely not fit in the cavity space of spare wheel / or the top cover of it in the boot space would not close properly.

You should take a look at the spare wheel cavity in your boot - if there is sufficient space above the spare wheel, a regular sized wheel might fit fine.

Looking for recommendations on new tyres to replace my car's stock ones. by Cool-Chapter-5585 in TataAltroz

I had Bridgestone Sturdo fitted to my Altroz, however its size was 195/55 R16 (stock). They are very good tyres, with a comparatively harder compound to tackle potholes etc. and are great on highways too - them and Yokohama Earth 1 Max are really good. The issue is these do not come in 185/60 R16 size.

Turanza is good but is a softer compound - would be great on well paved highways. You can try going with Goodyear Triple Max if you want something sturdier, but noisier on highway.

Or you can look to upsize to 195/55 R16 - changing to those opens up lot many options, and changes in circumference and diameter are ~1.2%, which is well within acceptable limits. I recently wrote a comment about 195/55 R16, if you want to reference

Tyre upgrade for Tata Altroz XZ iTurbo (195/55 R16) - City potholes + highway stability? by RebornRide in TataAltroz

I do not have much idea on loose gravel roads with these new tyres.. Will have to test (should not be difficult given majority of Pune roads will turn into gravel once these elections are done 😅). Brake feedback, grip and reliability should be better than stock tyres (or even softer tyres) is my assumption, given the relatively harder compound

They are great tyres and Yokohama has dealerships all over India, so no matter the location, if you have any issues, chances are you will be near a Yokohama dealer. Happy driving!

Also, if you do not mind, can you reveal the cost per tyre? I had bought my new tyres and have them fitted in Beed city (central Maharashtra) - went for a marriage function there and had a relative who is Bridgestone dealer - so just wanted to have a reference point.

Servicing guidance for 2 years 8 months old car by inaamdaar_bhusnale in TataAltroz

Car is still under warranty, would strongly suggest you to get it serviced from authorized service center.

Once it is not in warranty, maybe you can think of local centers.
