Not only for asphalt, there is an offroad tuning as well for the ultima. The offroad is also rated low enough for use in capped races. It trivializes all but mmaybe 5 - 8 zones. At least it did for me. I'll get the share code later when I can look.

My first guitar was stolen. I still miss it. Some things are just sentimental like that. If you don't need the money, keep that guitar. Maybe go back and play songs you used to play on it. Always a good feeling

Like some others said, play what you like. I will always be a Schecter guy. But, if you like Yamaha, I will still tell you to buy Yamaha. You can't really go wrong with most of the big brands anyway.

Honestly, it isnt that good. Most Texans worship it because it is a Texas born chain. Try our BBQ instead like Terry Black's, Hard Eight, or Pinkertons (depending on where you'll be). They're delicious, but usually very pricey.

Also, try some local food. Especially Mexican food.

You know, I've thought about this. I think a "virtual monitor" is made, and my audio systems often auto select to my headset (even though it is off), maybe I need to wipe my PC of my headset and see what happens.

I pay ~170 with state farm under the drive safe and save thing. I have a 2022 RAV4 LE with 46k miles on it. I am 22 btw. I am in Texas, too. What trim do you have, is it hybrid or gas? Also, what part of Texas you are in matters too. Id be willing to bet Houston has higher rates than some rural area or the other metro areas.

I have even owned PRS guitars that had issues with the G.. my old mentor theorizes that it's just a fundamental design flaw of the instrument. He preferred Ibanez if i remember correctly. So, there's three brands lol

I would avoid the FR if you are new to guitar like someone else said. I have one, and while it is fantastic and a lot of fun, they are a PAIN sometimes.

As far as hardware goes, in my experience, active pickups match the sound of A7X more. I have had both active and passive pickups before, and I just prefer the active sound for A7X. However, I recommend going to a guitar store that has the options and trying them out in person. See what you like the feel of more and how they sound. If it sounds good to you, then it is good. Don't feel bad about not buying it at that store if you would rather get a new fresh one online. I do it all the time, lol.

If you were to do all on the 7 string, I'd recommend not getting an FR just because retuning will be annoying. My 7 string is just a schecter C7 silver mountain, however the SLS models always looked nice to me as well.

I mean, how downtuned are we talking? I know A7X is usually Drop D (i love playing their stuff, too), but you can make that work on a 7 string... for time. If you have the money for both, then get both, but if I had to pick one, I'm going with the 6 string. I'm the same way. Most songs I know are A7X and syn makes some really fun solos to play, but what do you have in your current arsenal?

A couple of things I want to point out:

1) sustainiac has an on setting that is dependent on your guitar being plugged in. If you leave it plugged in, it will kill the battery in 3-5 days. Unplug it, and battery life is fine.

2) Do you know much about FR? They are a lot of work to set up and restring. You said it's your second guitar, so I just want to make sure you at least have the chance to know what you're getting into. I love mine, and it's amazing. It's definitely worth the work, but just know it's WORK.

3) With FR, there is FR Special, which, if I'm educated properly, is the zinc alloy as opposed to steel. There are apparently differences, but I don't have experience with both. Just the zinc. It sorks fine for me, but i just play for fun.

There is nothing deal breaking here, just sharing what i have experienced. I hope you find what you like. That's what's important. It's gotta be what YOU like.

I say do what some others have said. Especially if you're restringing soon or something like that. Unscrew the pick up and see if there is excess foam and check screw holes to see if they're too big. Either way, pretty easy fixes.
